The Sixth Goodbye

The Sixth Goodbye

“Unhand me! Naomi! You can’t do this to me!” Not sparing him another glance, I grabbed my suitcase and headed straight through to security. Regret ate at Lorenzo as he had lost the girl whose whole world was once him. Just as he buried his face in his hands, his heart aching to the point of breaking, a pair of stilettos stopped in front of him. Gianna crouched down and tugged him on the sleeve. “Don’t be upset. Who cares if she leaves? You still have me. I’ll be right here for you.

When he finally caught up with him, he could see the steam blowing out of Ornais’ ears. “You are completely unaware of how important this is,”Ornais began. “Abigail’s soul is the one soul that could shift the balance and you are still playing the same games you did with all the others. Frankly it’s really starting to piss me off. You don't get it do you? This soul was set to be sent to hell, her path already chosen.” He finished. Daniel was confused if Abigail's soul was on a path to hell already. Why was he here? “What are you rambling about now?” He asked Ornais.

THE SOUL EATER

THE SOUL EATER

"My soul? Is that what she did to me? Do you know what it is called?" I hit send and after a few seconds the computer dings again and this time the email reads, "It's the Soul Eater. Surviving off of our souls, she gets everlasting life and the only way to get yours back, is to kill her. She has been around for thousands of years and will continue to take people's souls unless someone stops her." Typing one more reply, I send it and a notification comes up, "Unable to send. Please try again."

Slightly Lazy, Evil, Carefree Cultivator (Book 1)

In an instant, he was inside Two's Soul Scape. The Soul Scape was an immaterial Dimension inside one's self. Adding Ion Energy into it, allowed it to turn corporeal once the Cultivator reached the Correct Realm to do so. Better than carrying any pouches or sacks for that matter. But since it was connected to one's soul the destruction of the Soul would destroy all the items inside. It also required the nurturing of Ion Energy.

Azian (Prince of Dragons)

Then she heard a child’s cry, a baby’s whimper, a husband’s calls, and a woman's screeches. She pulled back quickly touching her heart, "what the hell is that?!" Ena closed the book, exiting a deep sigh, "this book was never written. It wrote itself. What you heard was its ink, the souls it uses to carve each word. It captures every fear. Every last word. The tears that fell from its victims and with that it creates. We call this Soul Magic. The darkest in the world. Not one created, or that was at the beginning of time. No. This is one we created ourselves, one we fuel with our every breath. Do you want to destroy the book? You first must destroy the whole world, for as long as evil desires

A beautifully write tale that transports you from one world to another. The descriptions allow your minds eye to be in the story. Not a typical girl meets boy romance that allows for a guess whats next read. This tale has a creative dynamic that is rarely seen in todays writings.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love the characters and how well you have them interact with each other. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much when reading a book. Even though I had an inkling on where the story might go, I preferred to follow along with your storytelling instead.

The Silent Luna: Rise of the Primal Queen

The Silent Luna: Rise of the Primal Queen

The Great Cathedral of Light was no longer a sanctuary; it was a throat, and it was swallowing them whole. Elara clutched Malachi’s fading form to her chest, her fingers digging into the scorched leather of his tunic. The smell of his burnt palms—flesh sacrificed to set her free—mixed with the cloying, sweet scent of the First Kingdom’s decay. She looked at the center of the Well of Souls, where the shimmering image of Astraeus flickered like a dying candle.

The sixth book in the 'All Souls' series, 'The Book of Life', wraps up the epic journey of Diana Bishop and Matthew Clairmont in a whirlwind of magic, history, and romance. After returning from the 16th century, they must confront the Congregation and unravel the mysteries of the Book of Life to secure a future for their unusual family. The plot thickens with political intrigue, as ancient creatures—witches, vampires, and daemons—clash over power and survival. Diana's growth as a witch is central, especially her mastery of time-walking and spellcasting, while Matthew grapples with his darker instincts.

What makes this installment so gripping is how it ties up loose ends while delivering emotional punches. The discovery of Ashmole 782's secrets feels rewarding, and the stakes are sky-high with personal and supernatural threats looming. The blend of academic sleuthing (Diana’s Oxford roots shine) and visceral action keeps the pace lively. I loved how Deborah Harkness balances dense mythology with intimate moments—like the tenderness between Diana and Matthew amid chaos. The finale doesn’t shy from sacrifices, making it a satisfying, tear-jerking conclusion to the trilogy.
