The Purrfect Love Story
Goose meowed from the couch, clearly in agreement.
By the time we headed out, my stomach was a mess of butterflies and caffeine. Ace drove us to the little indie bookstore downtown, the same one where I used to browse the romance shelves and daydream about my name sitting next to authors I loved. Now, those same shelves held Meow Me Twice, right there, spine gleaming under the display lights.
I froze when I saw it. “That’s me,” I whispered, half to Ace, half to the universe.
He slipped his hand into mine, squeezing gently. “That’s you,” he said. “Told you it’d happen.”
