Alone On The Stage Novels & Stories

“Damn. Girl, you must’ve really got under his skin.” Sybil let out a loud scoff across the room. “Or under his dick.” The whole room chuckled. “I don’t know what I’m doing,” I confessed. “I’ve never been on a stage in my life. I’ll look like a joke.” She touched my arm. “You won’t. You don’t need to do anything. Just walk out there and exist. Your face, your body, he already chose you. That’s enough.” Sybil tossed a pile of fabric at me, if you could even call it fabric.

She didn’t have time now, she thought, to deconstruct her look. “No way, it is perfect.” James pulled a curl straight and watched it spring back. “The guys will be creaming in their pants. Good timing, too. Aaron has just called us onto the stage to give a test run. Has Owen seen you in this? He is going to drown in his own drool.” She could see that Owen and Jeremy were already on the stage with their guitars, plugging into the amps. They wove their way across the room, seeming to be far more crowded now than it had been before her shower, and she could feel the burn of eyes on her back.

He was just there, like a pillar that didn't get in the way but also didn't let me feel alone. I glanced to the side, watching him in the dim light. His jaw was set, his eyes focused on the stage, his hands folded in his lap quietly. There was no pressure. No demands. And I could breathe a little easier for the first time in days. I stare back at the stage, letting the opera take me away. For one night only, I wanted to forget everything. ♡ ⋆｡˚ ✩ ˚｡⋆ ♡

Alora replied and walked up the stairs. ^^^ Alora’s POV I was bored beyond my mind, I decided to play make believe with myself, I got up on the stage with the other girls staring at me like I was stealing from them but they couldn’t do anything. I looked down at Zemia. It was quite a large stage and a lot of empty seats, with no one there except a man I just met a few days back and a couple of girls I don’t know. I am sure I would get stage fright.

“That’s the plan.” Her friends snickered. Alana stepped closer until I could see her reflection hovering over mine in the mirror. “Cute. But this isn’t New York, sweetie. We don’t just hand the main stage to anyone. You might want to sit this one out before you embarrass yourself… and your partner.” Zach straightened up beside me, eyes flashing. “She’s not going anywhere,” he said quietly. I forced a calm smile. “Thanks for the advice, Alana,” I said, standing. “I’ll remember it when I’m on stage.”

My parents' friends, friends from school, people I'd known for years, were all out in the audience. "That doesn't matter. When you're out on the stage, it is just you and the music," Bennett said. He nudged my back and I took a step out on the stage. The audience erupted in applause at seeing me. I waved delicately. I couldn't back off the stage now that they'd seen me.

Alfred was also speechless, but for an entirely different reason. The stage was stunning, they’d give Jonathan that much. A deep mahogany floor shone against the twinkle light that ran along the back and all along the top of the stage. The curtains were a thick, deep purple and a wide array of expensive equipment was strewn everywhere. It was enchanting, the kind of stage a young performer dreamed of singing on. And Jonathan – he could really play. Alfred hadn’t known that Jonathan was a musician. As an artist himself, he respected all who dappled in the arts.

He placed me on a chair at the door as Anastasia’s eyes darted between the two of us. “But what about showing me the fountain?” she asked as she followed behind him. I paid no attention to what happened since the lights immediately went dim and a slow song started. For some reason, I got excited and disobeyed Colton’s rules by getting up. My feet took me to the stage area, and I had no idea how nobody saw me. I stood in the centre of the stage behind a mic, and that’s when heads started to turn. “Awe, you all love so lovely together,” I cooed as they watched me in confusion. I noticed Shanae’s eyes going wide as she tried to make her way through the crowd.

Tom called out, and I lifted my eyes to look at him, "Can you please join me here on stage?" For a moment, I felt confused, and I didn't know what to do. Joining him on stage or running away, both options joggled in my head. "Ava?" He called out again, jolting me out of my thoughts, and I had no choice but to join him on stage. Slowly, I walked towards him, hoping I wouldn't trip and fall. As I got on the stage, Tom held my hand and fell on one knee. "What …what …are you doing? Please stand up," I said in a trembling voice. I have had so much attention for one day, and I didn't need more.

Seeing these men in their prime up on this stage has left me panting with lust for the past two hours. They are sweating off of them. Sloan and their drummer, Brett, are both bare-chested. Sloan's military dog tags catch the stage lights every now and then, catching my attention back to him if for some unknown reason it had wandered away from my hero. The energy they all possess is absolute and I wish that I had been in attendance to see their first major headlining tour. I've seen the YouTube videos and the aerial dancers are sick on stage. Julian and I are standing inside the metal barricades at the bottom of the stage with no one to stand between us and the view. A spot coveted by every s
