Alpha Asher By Jane Doe Novels & Stories

I glanced sideways at Hera. “Gladly.” My eyes flicked toward Sloane before I could stop them. Her gaze caught mine from across the table, and I immediately looked away. “Something wrong, Asha?” Damn it. I looked back at Sloane to see one of her brows raised. “Nothing is,” I muttered. Her eyes flicked toward Zade for barely a second before she took a bite of her food. “Good.” “You know,” Hera whispered, glancing briefly at Sloane before looking at me, “you should probably tell your wolf that Gamma always sits beside the Alpha.”

No, this was just more of her pretending, her little theater act. I sighed, tired of it all. "This is just protocol." My face was a blank mask, my voice frigid. "As Alpha, I check on any pack member who's been attacked. That's all this is." Finally, Ashley looked me in the eye. Her gaze didn't show fear, or sorrow, or even hatred—it was just empty, eerily quiet and cold. "Well," she rasped, her voice hoarse but sharp, "at least now I know where I stand." She lifted her chin, determination flashing briefly in her eyes. "Alpha Brian, you can go now. I'm fine."

“Either as Doniel or as Satan, Alpha of the rogues. He will come back and take that rejection back. Just you wait and see.” The girl’s small frame trembles under Asher’s words. Without warning, Asher shoves her toward the door, a single, cruel push that makes the girl stumble. She locks the door behind her, sealing the child out and me in. And then Asher turns her attention on me.

I could almost hear the pride in her voice when she spoke about him, and I couldn’t help but wonder if it was the same man I’d earlier met she was referring to. “The Ma—Alpha Asher doesn’t scare you?” “The Mad Alpha scares everyone,” she said, her smirk widening into a smile, “but he’s also earned our respect.” Staring at Jane, a twisted plan formed in my mind. Perhaps having her as a friend wouldn’t be so bad; in fact, it could be very beneficial. As the Chief Commander, she controlled many things happening in this pack; if I could have her on my side, my chances of getting out of here wouldn’t be a negative number.

I squirm under his stare, suddenly very aware of the way I look, the weight of Declan in my arms, the sound of my heartbeat in my ears. I feel small. Exposed. And I hate it. "Good day, Alethea. You work here now?" Asher asks, his voice steady but laced with curiosity. Before I can even open my mouth, Madame Kate responds cheerfully, "She volunteered to help, Alpha. And thank you, Ms. Weaver. It's a rare opportunity to have someone like you here." I catch the briefest flicker of something in Asher's expression. Brows furrow for just a second, like a flash of anger or frustration, quickly replaced by that familiar alpha mask.

At least sometimes his sunshine-and-honey personality is more useful than annoying. “Sooo… we found our mate,” he says, dragging out the words like he’s still trying to convince himself it happened. “One rogue girl, three very dumb Alphas.” Kayden snorts. “You’re the dumb one, you got dropped by her in five seconds flat.” “That’s because I was not expecting someone there,” Asher fires back, throwing his hands up. “I didn’t expect her to be a literal feral fox. And for the record, she didn’t drop me, I let her go.”

Damien promised. "How long?" Carolynn demanded, but the Mayor said nothing. # Across the acres of land, beneath the illumination of the silver ball above, which carelessly crept it's way across the cloudy skies, Alpha Asher was being stirred from his sleep as a string of loud and urgent knocks sounded from his door. Rubbing his eyes, the Alpha dragged his figure out of bed. He was wearing a pair of flannel pajama pants and a loose t-shirt. When Asher pulled the door open, he wasn't expecting for George and Jamie to barge in as if they owned the deed to his mansion.

“Elias who’s this beautiful damsel? I’ve never seen her around town, even in the pack” “Yes that’s because she isn’t a member of this pack but this is Ash, my fiancé” “I’ve heard that name before… have we met?” “Other then now now we haven’t met I’m even thrilled to be meeting the first Alpha in my life” she divulged. Ashley changed the tone of her voice so she won’t be detected by Alan. “Are you certain about that?”

“No sir, nothing to report. A couple of Alphas have arrived early and are being shown and settled to their rooms as we speak” “Perfect. Now Alpha Mykel allow me to introduce you to Elder Kate, Elder Owen and our newest member Elder Shaun.” I had heard most of their names before, they were brilliant well-respected Alphas. Elder Kate however was the first female to be welcomed, an invitation that would have been sent to my mother had she not been murdered.
