The Alpha's Return
I approached them, my voice steady but my hands trembling.
"I need to see Leo Herringate," I said, trying to sound confident despite the uncertainty that gnawed at my insides.
The guards exchanged glances, their expressions hardened. "Visitors are not allowed," one of them replied curtly.
"But I'm not just a visitor," I pleaded, desperation seeping into my voice. "I'm his Alpha, and I need to speak with him." As the lie left my lips, I felt my stomach sink.
The guards hesitated, their gazes flickering with uncertainty. They knew the importance of an Alpha's presence, especially in times of crisis. After a moment of deliberation, one of them nodded and unlocked the cell door.
