"Alpha I'm so sorry," I blinked multiple times, as if trying to make myself understand this wasn't a dream but reality. The silence was deafening and from the stories I'd heard, people died from doing things like this to the famous alpha Kaden. "You just hurt a pack member," Alpha Kaden frowned and folded his hands across his chest, "Talie." He pointed out like I didn't know. His eyes darkened and lines formed on his forehead, creeping me out, I hadn't seen him like this yet.

She was a total stranger, and she reminded me of a general. “Don’t worry, babe, I’ll be here before you go to bed.” “That isn’t good enough,” I whimpered. He chuckled and caressed my cheeks. “Can’t stand to be away from me?” We’ve been apart long enough. I buried my face in his chest and hugged him tightly. “And who on earth are you?” Athena demanded of Kade. “Kade Sanders… the Alpha.” Athena scowled. “Fate is a cruel reminder. Use the passage on the left side of the mountain, it’ll lead you straight into town.”

“Goodbye, my friend,” “STOP!” Adler came running inside. “Everyone except Lady Kate, leave,” he commanded, and then looked at me. “It’s not him but her,” he announced, pointing his finger toward Kate. “It’s not Edwin who wanted to become the Alpha King, but Lady Kate who wanted to become the Alpha Queen." “What nonsense? Kate is my sister. She can never think of killing our mom or me,” I growled, not believing his allegation. “In that case, why don’t you ask the same of both of them?” Adler asked, glaring at Kate, who had no expression on her face. “Why is Edwin trying to take the blame for Kate’s crime, and why did Kate hate you and Madam Clover?”

“No sir, nothing to report. A couple of Alphas have arrived early and are being shown and settled to their rooms as we speak” “Perfect. Now Alpha Mykel allow me to introduce you to Elder Kate, Elder Owen and our newest member Elder Shaun.” I had heard most of their names before, they were brilliant well-respected Alphas. Elder Kate however was the first female to be welcomed, an invitation that would have been sent to my mother had she not been murdered.

Greyson laughed as he and the male clapped each other on the back I mouthed an 'O' when I realized that it was Jackson from border patrol back at the Silver Moon pack and I immediately smiled warmly at him "Thank you for coming, Jackson" I said "Thank YOU for inviting us" he laughed "Us? Did.... did he make it as well?" Greyson asked and my brows furrowed slightly as I wondered who he was referring to Jackson wiggled his eyebrows before clearing his throat "Alpha Greyson, Luna Harvey; I present to you Alpha Kayden of the Silver Moon pack!" Greyson and I gasped softly as Kayden or ALPHA Kayden as he was now known by since his inauguration two weeks ago sauntered over to us with a beaming smil

Maybe, he would understand me a little. “Ah!” He exclaimed when he noticed another familiar face and I sighed. “Kendall, this is Alpha Nate of Blackwood pack and his son, Jake. Alpha, this is my eldest daughter, Kendall. You must have heard of her. She is the strongest warrior in the west.” I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. He was only proud of me when he had to use me to get what he wanted.

She peeks from behind him to smile at me, heat blossoming across her cheeks and pointed nose. Damn, where did she come from? I wonder to myself. Another Alpha I haven't met overhears him and walks over with his daughter. He looks to be in his fifties by the gray heavily mixed in his blonde beard; however, he's still tall and well-built for his age. "I'm Alpha Kellan. My daughter, Daphne, would be better suited for you. She's very kind and obedient. She'll be a fantastic Luna," he boasts. His voice is loud like he's trying to talk over the music.

I turned and looked around, my eyes met a pair of hazel ones. “Who's that man?” I asked Kate, gesturing at the tall blond who refused to look away. “Oh, him? That's Ethan. He's the Alpha of Raven claw pack. A notorious tyrant and a well-known douchebag who chases anything in a skirt” she wiped the cream off my lips with her thumb. “If you come across him, avoid him like the plague” “You think he's going to hit on a pregnant lady?” “He has been in a silent competition with Lukas for years. He would do anything to have what he has. Not only that. He's dangerous too. I heard his pack practices black magic”

Alpha Kaden, lost in the labyrinth of his thoughts, stands in a stoic trance, his gaze fixed on some unseen horizon, his mind a canvas painted with the hues of introspection and longing. Sensing the unspoken turmoil that simmers beneath the surface of his Alpha's demeanor, Ronnie, the steadfast servant, breaks the stillness with a gentle inquiry, "Alpha, do you need something?" The words hang in the air, a lifeline extended in the midst of Kaden's silent reverie.
