Kade's POV ~ We met with Mr Turner at club X, this isn't the best place to have such a conversation but knowing the kind of person he is, I went along with it. It doesn't matter, since I'll get what I want in the end. Turner is an Alpha of the Silver moon pack — a small pack who is barely surviving because of his lack of incompetence as an Alpha, he mostly spends his time playing with innocent females in his pack. This caused his pack members to join other packs, resulting in the state he's in now. I already know what he wants to talk about. He wants more land for his small pack while I want him to give up his pack, only then can I offer land for them to live in comfortably.

Kai gave a stern look as he spoke to Kade. Kade stared at him for several seconds before kneeling on one knee with his head bowed. “You are a fair man, Kai. But my loyalty lies with you, Alpha.” Kade responded. Kai placed his hand on Kade’s shoulder and nodded before grabbing my hand and pulling me away. Once we were safely in the Alpha’s SUV Kai turned to me. “Speak, I know you have something you want to say to me.” His voice was stern but gentle as if he could understand I was heartbroken.

I shuttered as I replied hurriedly. "That settles it, Welcome to the Wild Crest Pack, Evelyn." The Alpha smiled as he looked at me. "Thank you very much, Alpha," I said, trying to force myself to bow, but I was too weak to do anything. I stumbled back to the floor when I tried to get up. "Evelyn, there's no need for you to thank me, I can see that you've been through enough." The Alpha smiled as he stood up from his seat walking slowly towards me.

Every inch of her was perfect. “Tell me about Alpha Kaden,” she said suddenly. I nearly dropped the towel I was holding. “Miss Blackthorn?” “You work in the pack house. You see him regularly.” She opened one eye to look at me. “What’s he like? And don’t give me some scripted answer about him being strong and honourable. I can see that myself. I want to know the real him.” This was torture. Exquisite, calculated torture. “He’s… dedicated,” I managed. “He cares deeply about his pack. About doing what’s right.”

We are grateful for your hospitality.” Behind the Luna and Alpha stood their two children. Kane’s eyes landed first on Aiden, the future Alpha - a tall, broad-shouldered young man with piercing eyes, holding his chin high with an arrogance that would have put seasoned warriors to shame. His gaze was steady, sizing up Kane with what might have been silent challenge.

The next day, Liam called me into the conference room to present a business plan to the pack’s supreme leader—Alpha Kaden. It was my first time seeing the legendary Alpha up close. Kaden Blackwood sat on the sofa. He wasn't middle-aged like I'd imagined. He was young, with deep-set silver eyes. He wore a black dress shirt that made him look even more dangerous and handsome. My gaze lingered on him for a moment. I remembered telling Lykos once that I loved seeing a man in a black shirt, that it was incredibly attractive. I guess the Alpha had the same taste. "Miss Riley, please begin," his voice was deep and magnetic, filled with an undeniable Alpha authority.

“Then they should know better than to threaten what is mine.” A murmur broke out, louder this time. “She is no longer Luna,” a visiting Alpha interjected. “By your own admission.” “No,” Kael said quietly. “She is not.” He paused, letting the words settle. “She is something far older,” he continued. “And far more important.” The chamber erupted. “You would wage war for a single wolf?” someone demanded. “For truth,” Kael replied. “For the future. And yes—for her.” He let his wolf rise then, not fully, but enough that the room felt it, a pressure like a storm banked just beyond sight. Mooncrest’s power was not flashy.
