“Excellent work, Alpha Killian.” “This will change everything for our pack.” Killian smiled. That same smile I once loved. Now it made me sick. “And tonight,” he added calmly, “I will hold a Luna ceremony.” My breath stopped. “I will officially mark Tiffany as my Luna.” The world went silent for me. You two know him to be a cunning man, a traitor, yet you trust his words?" I said, scoffing loudly.

“I believe whatever answer I give, my fate has already been decided.” There was a silence that seemed to crawl through every corner, plunging everyone into awe at the audacity of my words. When I didn’t hear a response from Elder Darius, I lifted my head, tilting to the side, urging him to continue. Alpha Killian was so very happy to take care of Riana. Having his Luna, Zillah, away on a mission with the gammas meant that he had more time to spend with her. He was eager to show her all the things he had learned and to help her grow up to be a strong, independent woman.
