He lunged again, fists a blur. Marcus moved with fluid grace, dodging, weaving, turning Fenrik’s strength against him, each punch barely missing its mark. Fenrik’s fists brushed Marcus’s skin, but Marcus twisted, redirected, and blocked every strike. The air itself seemed to shiver with their movements.
“You forgot something,” Marcus said, low and dangerous. His pupils flared red, a warning, a glimpse of the Alpha beneath the trained fighter. “I am an Alpha… and a direct descendant of the Lycan.”
