When he turns back he winks at me and then I hear his voice in my head “We have much to catch up on” Max looks surprised at Alpha Zach and then he looks at me confused, he opens the door so I could go inside and shift. Once dressed and back on the decking, Max is demanding answers, but not about what my father had said, about how Alpha Zach could understand me. Alpha Zach, sits with a smile on his face “It’s a Lycan thing, we don’t have to be blood or officially mated to understand each other in Lycan or human form” Max looks annoyed with this news but doesn’t act upon it “Two days until your father’s pack attack”

“So, whatever inquiries or snooping you have done in my home — stops now. Do we have an understanding?” They both began to fidget under the weight of my authority. An alpha’s command could not be denied. It could be painful, even deadly, to try. As the lycan king, mine was more potent than any other. I wasn’t even putting a fraction of the force I could behind my words, but their discomfort was clear. Finally, they responded with their understanding, tilting their heads to expose their necks to me in submission. “Good. Now, go. We have nothing more to discuss.”

“You twisted everything—” Damien’s growl thundered over me, deep and dangerous. The ground itself seemed to tremble. “Stop, Lena.” His Alpha voice slammed into me like a wall. My wolf whimpered and dropped low inside me. My muscles locked. My body bent against his power. “No,” I whispered, fighting to lift my head. My words were not fluent, but I forced it out. “Not this time.” Selene’s smile grew wide and sharp. She pressed against him like a queen, fake and sweet. “Show her, Alpha. Show her where she belongs.”

’ I tell him. His shoulders relax, and his heartbeat slows down. I stay pressed against him to keep him calm. 'Hope is my mate, and I would rather die than hand her back to that bastard!' He tells Alpha Liam. 'That can be arranged!' Alpha Liam retorts. He nods at his pack warriors, and they all charge toward us. I fall backwards as Alpha Maximus shifts into his Lycan. His clothes rip as he shifts. He let out a roar of warning at the pack racing towards him. They shift into their wolves and continue to pursue us. They don't back away or hesitate.

Chapter 13 Alpha Rogan's POV Councilor André got up from the ground and looked me in the eyes. His mouth was bloody and as he tried to stand straight, he groaned in pain. He looked at the other councilors and they looked at him, their eyes telling him not to say a word. He ignored them and turned to me again. "Long ago, when I was young, I hadn't found my mate. I was destined to not find anyone as a mate. I explored the ancient Lycan archive's and discovered a way to by-pass the will of the Moon-Goddess and get any mate of my choice."

“You’re a king and the last of your kind.” “This still doesn’t make sense.” I shook my head finding it hard to digest the information I had received. "If anything lycans are extinct." "That's what everyone believes but before my great grandfather, grandfather, and father were killed they shared a secret only they kept with me." She said. "They told me the reason why they were so strong, everyone believed they were just very skilled werewolves but that wasn't the case, they were lycans descendants of the great king Alexander."

Such a beautiful name for someone who acts like an insecure b**ch. "It's fine." I simply replied. "But is she always like that? Or it's just around me? I just don't get it." My curiosity got the best of me and now, I had to converse with the alpha. "Well, she is the last daughter of the former lycan king. And now, I'm stuck with her forever because of my father." "Good luck then. You would be needing lots of it unless she changes." I was done with the living room and proceeded to the landing. The alpha followed my every step and when I looked questionably at him, he raised his hands in surrender.

“If you force me into having to relocate and start over, I’ll be doing it minus one pup.” Lucia knew her father could be ruthless, but she never thought she’d be on the receiving end of it. No matter how she looked at it, it was a lose-lose situation… for him. “Would you really do that to me?” Instead of answering, Alpha Salvatore glared at her. “Do you not understand what a privilege it is to be mated to a Lycan? They’re the top predator in the paranormal community. No one fucks with them. Quite honestly, as his mate, your position would be equal to mine.”

He gave me a sly look in the mirror. Apparently, good looks were a werewolf requirement. “Aria,” Damon said, holding the door open, “this is Elias. My Beta.” “Hi,” I said politely. Elias grinned. “So this is the reason Alpha Thorn’s been useless for three days.” I raised an eyebrow at Damon. “Useless?” “He exaggerates,” Damon muttered, helping me in. Once we were on the road, curiosity won. “So… you’re a werewolf. Or a Lycan?” I asked, voice low.

CONAN I was sort of confused hearing him call her his granddaughter. He pulled her into himself for another long embrace. Lisa looked even more confused at this point as everything was happening so fast in the twinkle of an eye. I stood staring at both of them with the glass of wine in my hand as I suddenly felt I was missing out on something. I have known Alpha Reid to be a former lycan alpha, who was known across the pack and even amongst other packs to be ruthless and brutal.
