Aria's POV Dozens of names in neat and professional rows–a record Maya never failed to update every year. I recognized the title now that I had clear enough sight to read it properly. "Partner Pack and Alpha Affiliates–Full Ledger." Every single pack I had ever brewed for, every Alpha my company had every supported, healed, supplied potent for, or saved. My thumb drifted over the first line, "Silvercrest Pack–Alpha David." Then I moved to the next, and the next. They were all Alphas with great influence, with resources, and Alphas whose packs and warriors had one time benefited from my emergency magic supply runs.

“Listen…” “Alpha?” Stan called. “Look who decided to join us. He says you’re expecting him.” “Finally,” Philip called out with a grin as he started towards the well-built black guy walking towards him with Stan. “You made it.” The two men hugged when they met. “Finally.” Alpha Agyemang laughed heartily. “Thanks for having us.” “It’s an honour to have you run with us, A.G.” Philip addressed the alpha by the name they all affectionately called him. They’d been in college together and had remained good friends. “I wish it was your entire pack though. It would have been more fun.”

The man placed a number of documents on the table. Emblazoned on it was the signature of the late Alpha, a signature that everyone in this room recognized. Most notably, the sheets had the dates on them, as well as being inked with magic ink and the pack seal. While the former Beta could have access to many things, he could never touch the pack seal because it was set to only be touched by the Alpha, or the person touching it would suffer terrible wounds and mercs on their fingers. When I looked at his hands, they looked free of those marks, so the Alpha must have signed, being aware of what he was signing.

I asked curiously. "They sent help for the Silver moon pack, Crema. The silver moon pack is on our side," Marta replied with a smile. "Did they fight?" I asked. "Alpha Dior is in the Tower watching the gammas traveling towards Silver creek because as an Alpha he needs to focus on his constituents," Marta replied.

I took a deep breath and let the words come to me, “I, Baylor Alan Dunne, accept my duties as Alpha to honor the laws of Skatom Mochain, to protect and serve my pack and to lead with fairness and justice.” Then I sliced my palm and bled into the chalice. Kenneth stepped forward first, “I, Kenneth Robert Goldberg, pledge my loyalty to you, Alpha Baylor Alan Dunne as my Alpha and to the Skatom Mochain Pack.” Then he sipped from the chalice before adding his own blood to mine.

Nobody would dare to disturb me during my office work UNLESS it’s something urgent. So I gently placed down my phone, staring at the omega. “I’m sorry for disturbing your work, Alpha Andrew.” I stood up from my chair and approached the omega. “I assume it’s something important.” “It is, Alpha,” the omega responded confidently. My brows raised, alert for the next thing she would say. But instead, she pulled out a white letter from behind. I turned my eyes to the letter and quickly noticed the wolf symbol of our council. “I see…” I reached out for the letter, staring at the emblem. “Thanks for bringing it here.”

Raising my hand to scratch my shoulder, I cock my head and ask sarcastically, “You could have called. Why must you always show up like this? Uninvited.” “Well, because I am the Alpha. We don’t follow normal rules. We have our own we abide by, and it doesn’t involve humans’ niceties. If I need to fetch you, I will do it any time I want.” He states angrily as I watch his eyes start to glow again. Every time he becomes upset, his eyes do that, so I always know when I have gotten to him. “Alright, alright. Anyway, I need to get dressed. What is it exactly that couldn’t wait?” I ask absentmindedly as I shuffle around and try to find the pair of comfy jeans that I laid down a couple of days

Do you wish to remain with the alliances you have or add to them?” I kept my voice void of emotion.
