Her lack of influence was solely based on her being a female and therefor she was more for show than having an actual responsibility towards the pack. Her only job was to ensure the heritage of the pack by giving the alpha a male heir.

Under the Alpha there is the Beta, who helps lead and keep order, and then the Gamma who takes on other duties. It is a hierarchy; a system that keeps the pack strong.”
