The marble tub was vast, cool to the touch, filled with steaming water scented with rose petals and exotic oils that curled into the air like whispered prayers. Astra’s hands were gentle but purposeful as she helped Octavia disrobe, the intimacy of the moment brushing away layers of fear. She began to wash Octavia’s skin with soft cloths soaked in lavender and chamomile, her touch delicate, almost reverent. This is because the Alpha needs to maintain a certain level of control to ensure the pack’s survival and protection. Thus, the Alpha fears that allowing an Omega to challenge them would compromise their control and leadership.) “I appreciate your kindness, Alpha. I scrolled until the words blurred and then snapped back into focus and started taking notes I didn’t need: Alpha: lead, discipline, protect; power = responsibility (Remy, check). Beta: ballast; morale; politics (Jacek, check). Gamma: operations, safety, Luna’s shield (Todd, oh). Omegas: essential, not expendable; keep the house running (Sean, Sharlotte, Banks—hi). Mate bond: sparks, pull, scent recognition; compass not lasso—consent matters. Marking: permanent, public, powerful; not required; up to both.

But all that bullshit related to werewolves. "They say I am a mate from an alpha. Do you know what the position of the alpha is?
