Alpha Reader Vs Beta Reader Novels & Stories

“Technically, you were trespassing. We just happened to meet in a place where old secrets go to rot.” Ryden frowned. “I told you to wait outside and not engage” Hayden raised a brow. “And miss the moment she pulled a book on dragon lineages like it was her birthright?” I stiffened. The book was still clutched in my hand. Ryden turned to Hayden. “I’ll handle it.” That earned him a sharp look. “No. You’re too close to this.” “I’m the Alpha,” Ryden said coolly. “And I’m your Beta,” Hayden replied, just as smooth. “Which means it’s my job to see what you don’t.”

Garry thought. "Please do tell us" He pleaded, and once again Rune's attention was drawn to the Beta who looked anxious, she stared at him for a while, doing a comparison between him and the ebony-skinned Alpha. She started with the black hair that the Beta had as against the long dreads of the Alpha 'The Alpha is a handsome male but the Beta is a ravishing one' She thought and a smirk embraced her lips. 'Rune!' She scolded her mind again after it wandered off, she took her gaze away from both males and settled it on her Master.

Each bore distinct roles, and though unity was idealized, inequality and prejudice often thrived beneath the surface. Alphas were leaders, strong and dominant by nature. Male alphas often held positions of power, while female alphas were just as capable, known for their strength and determination. Both experienced ruts, intense periods when their instincts took over, driving their need for a mate. Betas were the steady, dependable ones. Male betas were the merchants, builders, and thinkers, while female betas were skilled at solving problems and keeping peace. Unlike alphas and omegas, betas didn't have ruts or heats, which made their lives simpler and less tied to their instincts.

Rock was expressionless and said, “deal. Steel, you prepare for a fight with Alpha Blaze in the middle of the pack tomorrow. Alpha Blaze, you and your pack members are all invited.” Blaze seemed satisfied by Rocks’ judgement. This was the reason why he was the Alpha of Alphas. His brother was involved, yet he gave a fair judgement. There was no way for a beta to win against an alpha because of the powers vested in the title. Blaze was already breathing the air of victory as he said to Steel, “I’ll see you on the field tomorrow. Thanks for dinner.”

“Can you even keep secrets from Alpha Jackal? You’re his Beta and bodyguard.” Rin releases my hand, and his gaze flickers to the bright blue sky above us. “As Alpha Jackal’s demon and Beta, I have to listen to his every command. I can’t lie to him, but that doesn’t mean I have to tell him everything. I can answer his questions with more questions.” My heart races at the thought of keeping secrets from someone as dangerous as Alpha Jackal. I know what he is capable of, and I don’t want to be on his bad side. But then again, what harm could a little drink do?

The Alpha job is addictive; Emily now understands the rage Marcus displayed when he learned that he had been replaced as the Alpha. She got to see a lot of things differently after she got the job, and she has to agree that Mathew was a bit too clumsy to be the Alpha, and when confronted, he blames his Beta or Gamma, or any wolf connected to that particular department. In the end, she had to replace several people with the ones she appointed. She appointed Blondie as her Beta. Her Gamma is a male, one of the strongest warriors that Mathew recommended for her since his job is to protect her.

I watch Anna as she pours the coffee, noticing the way she glows after a good day of work on the land. She’s nothing like the hissing little bitch I walked in on just a few weeks ago. She’s nothing that any of her previous carers would recognise. And that’s not from Riven’s little sessions with her every week, talking her through her options in a stuffy little office. It’s this place, it suits her. We suit her. And as much as I’d like to think it’s a good hard fucking that brings her in line, that has little to do with it.

she asks. "Yes, take messages, I won't be long" I leave the office hurriedly, under the judgmental gazes of the staff. I know they're wondering why her, why Mitchell... But I have no explanations to give. I'm the boss, my will is the law. If you were in the pack, you'd know that a mere glance means defying the order of the pack and the alpha. But you're not. The only thing I can do is ignore it and go to lunch.

"You might have to come back in two weeks" "Is there no one I can speak to?" I asked. "None. His Beta is as busy as the bee. He won't see you" I was furious that even a Beta would not see me because he is busy. "I am an Alpha. Why would a Beta not speak to me because he is busy?" "Well, our Beta here is equivalent to some Alphas out there," he said proudly. I felt he was indirectly comparing me to their Beta and that got me more furious but I said nothing about it.

That makes them fucked up in my mind. Met the guy in charge. He is called an Alpha apparently. He looks like he is beefed up on steroids quite honestly. But Aunt D told me that is normal for an Alpha from her research and it is nothing to do with steroids, they are just naturally bigger when they are an Alpha. But he seems a nice enough guy, this Alpha Lachlan, though I don’t plan on staying here, so I couldn’t care less. Met his second in command I guess you call them, which is a Beta – see I am learning already (yeah sarcasm). This Beta seems a decent enough guy. Quite young looking, pretty good looking to be fair. Some decent tattoos. And a wicked sense of humour.
