Diana’s POV I lay sprawled across my bed, the dying evening light slipping through the curtains like silver dust, casting ghostly patterns across the walls. The worn pages of my favorite werewolf novel, ‘Demi-God Nemesis,’ curled beneath my fingers. The spine was cracked, the cover faded from love and overuse. I’d read it at least four times. And yet, I felt uneasy every time I reached the part of the Alpha, the powerful and commanding leader of the pack.

" When he stops talking, the silence feels deafening. The fire pops and hisses, sending sparks up the chimney, but all I can hear is the blood rushing in my ears. "So, you're telling me you're a werewolf? Which kind? The Teen Wolf type, who's all angsty and attractive? Or more Vampire Diaries, you know, the type that's mysteriously tied to vampires and the full moon drama?" I stand up and pace toward the window, my hands in my hair as the absurdity of this conversation crashes over me.

With a determined sigh, he revved up his motorcycle and headed back to his mansion. As the days turned into weeks, Simon's determination to win Mara's heart only grew stronger. Chapter 42 Nightmare An hour has passed ever since she arrived at the library reading the pile of books she had randomly chosen, and half of it was strangely about werewolves while the other half is about some kind of diary. For the past hour, she realized that this pile of books was either true or was here just for fun. But knowing Nicholas as the uptight boss to others and the big puppy to her, she can’t think that this is some type of joke. The things written inside sounded so credible after some of them wrote down facts that are known to humans. And if it's not it, the one who wrote this must have been trolling.

An hour and a half pass by and Xavier doesn't pick up anything interesting between their conversation. Their topic ranges from the news, boring politics, history of the cafe, and business ventures, which he didn't understand. He even drifted off from their conversation and ended up studying the lessons they were discussing earlier. Dylan, however, got annoyed at Xavier's silence. And I had seen too much of the world – its cruelty – to have any illusions. I could deal with cold facts, though. Pushing aside the pile of assorted clutter in front of me, I turned on my laptop and searched up the net, browsing the links strictly available only to the werewolf community. Those links are used to teach younger wolves about their origin in schools and high schools. Within minutes, I’d found another artifact written by my parents. Deciding that I needed to take a second, I clicked on it and while the page started loading, I gulped down the rest of the mango juice, needing to feel the cold drink going down my throat to feel somewhat better.

He spoke slowly, not fully looking at the diary in his hand. "What else?" Beta Dai continued to ask. “Wait for me a moment.” He needed time to find the information in the book. Beta Dai didn't have the patience to say it anymore. “Turn to page fifty-three, it says his reward is a silver werewolf trophy, correct?” He nodded without flipping through the pages of his diary.

I need answers. I sprint to the library and inquire at the front desk for books referencing "hearing voices" and "werewolves." My first step is to study the basics of werewolf anatomy and then progress to the obligatory high school textbooks. Halfway through reading, I feel like a complete idiot. All the books suggest it is possible that my wolf is coming to me.
