Gabriel pov The day is here. I never thought it could happen, let alone this fast. If I look back on my life about six months ago, I couldn't wish for a better outcome than this. We found the old bastard Alpha dead in his office, and I still remember how I thought of the murderer as Godsent.

Dale can live his life according to his own terms! Besides, Dale is richer than the Alpha, even if he is going to combine the wealth of his wife!” “Are you talking about Jacob’s father? Jacob is a rogue if I am not mistaken,” I tried to be ignorant about what was going on to get more information from Sister Theresa. “No, I am talking about Jacob. He is now the Alpha of their pack, and he just got married to a woman named Lucy. She was an Alpha’s daughter, Bethany. Just like you before becoming a rogue.”

“But aren’t you the Alpha’s Beta? Surely he won’t mind if you step inside the room since you were tasked with the job of fetching me.” Rin seems to be hesitating, and I notice there is a gleam of fear in his blue eyes. It puzzles me. Why is the Beta afraid of his own Alpha? Something isn’t right here… “It would put me at ease if you came with me,” I say in a low voice, and my words are as shocking to me as they are to Rin. I’ve never had a filter, and my words are the truth: I would feel better if Rin accompanied me. But what bewilders me is that I can’t put a finger on why his presence would put me more at ease. I just met him—he is a complete stranger!

“But that’s not all.” “It isn’t? What else is there?” “Your coronation is a couple of days away, and you still aren’t ready,” he said. The Beta’s coronation would happen first, then the Alpha’s. I had waited for that moment. “I am, Dad. I’m ready.” “You’re not,” he interjected, a stern look overshadowing his face. I didn’t understand. I had done everything required of an Alpha’s son. I was ready. “You’re not, and you know this.”

I was about to submit to this beautiful creature and I think she was going eat me once she was done. “What the hell is going on?” Jax’s voice roared out over the pack members screaming and attacking each other. Hundreds of trucks pulled up behind us and everyone around us stopped. We all stood frozen in our spots. “What are you orders, Alpha?” My new lead Beta asked after stepping out of one of the trucks. My pack just arrived and in perfect timing. “I don’t fucking know! Where is Brandon?” I shouted in frustration. What the hell did he do to this pack? Sophia’s arm wrapped around my waist and my arm around her shoulder. I was under her spell and I liked it. I never had a fairy before.
