I screamed, and that managed to make him stop in his tracks. “Luna?” He asked, and I froze, wondering how he even knew my name. But I nodded, swallowing hard. “Yes, it's me. Please, you have to help me. I can't have my ex-husband finding me. He must be out there looking for me with my sister.” They looked among themselves like I was mad. For some reason, I knew that I was safe. “Alpha has been looking for you,” another one said, and I frowned. Who the fuck was their Alpha?

The silence that followed Liam’s declaration was as heavy and cold as a shroud. Damon’s accusation hung in the air, a stench of betrayal that clung to everything. For a heartbeat, no one moved. She feels no remorse for killing Phelan since she is also the one who betrayed their connections first. She finally avenged herself to the people that backstabbed her. I had been the only one to get that smile. I shook my head softly. The priest approached her and placed his hand on her forehead. And then, grinning, spoke the exact words that, in a way I never imagined, shattered me; "Vivian Quinn, you are now Alpha Alexander's new wife and Luna of the wildfire Pack." "You, Jake Smith will go to the Moona pack as Rodriguez Wolf, you would continue to live there and find a mate in preparation to he the next alpha, and when the time is right, and I come back, you are to return to your normal human life as Jake Smith. Do you understand?" He asked. "Yes, sir." Jake nodded, hypnotized. "Here are my memories and I will take yours to help us accomplish our missions smoothly." He compulsed.

We got to the car and he roughly pushed me into the backseat before saying, "Sit down quietly, or I'll tie you up." I nodded shakily to his words before turning to the window to see Mark running towards us, tears in his eyes as he approached. I called back for him, but my defiance was met with a hot slap. "Didn't I say not to make a sound?" Alpha Klaus questioned, his eyes glowing with murderous intent as he glared at me. "I'm sorry. Please don't hurt him." I pleaded as the Alpha turned to intercept Mark. Once again he struck Mark down, but this time he didn't black out immediately. He rushed forward towards me, but the Alpha's strength overwhelmed him, and he fell a second time.
