I sat in my study for hours, after the council meeting ended. My mind raced in the silence, still thinking of what my mother had done. She had betrayed me and now I wasn’t sure if there was any way to fix our broken bond. I thought back to the past when I had come back with Lexi and told her that I wanted Lexi as my Luna. The dream felt surreal and I rushed off to Alcandar's room where I was stopped as usual at the door. "Let me in!" I yelled. But the guards paid no attention to me and instead looked away. Jacintha finally caught up with me and went on her knees. "Please Luna, let's go back to your room." Jacintha begged but I ignored her. "Let me see my husband! Are you out of your senses? Are you crazy? Who are you to hinder me from seeing the alpha? Do you know who I am? I am the Luna and I could get you killed for what you're doing!" I screamed yet they didn't bulge.
