I asked Owen, still finding it hard to believe that less than a minute ago, I discovered who my mate was, and he turned out to be an Alpha. If that isn't crazy, I don't know what is. "I guess you could say you have some luck. You're not going to get killed, but you'll be confined, whether you like it or not," he replied, and I frowned. "Confined? What do you mean by confined? “Thank you for giving me another chance.” Luna nodded and looked down at her hands again. “What happens now, Alpha?” she asked quietly. “What happens when the pack finds out?” Alpha Asher’s expression turned serious. “Now we prepare for war, Luna,” he said quietly. “Because there will be war. There will be challenges. There will be people who try to hurt you. But I promise you this - I will protect you. I will protect our child. John managed to give him a proud smile before Connor announced that it was time and everyone's attention was brought to the doorway. The Luna ceremony was an Alpha's equivalent to a wedding. It was when the Alpha accepts his mate as his one true love, the one he will spend the rest of his life with, accepting that they'll lead the pack together and in the future, produce new heirs to do the same. If anything, it was much more important than marriage. The bond was something more than a piece of paper that could be easily broken.

She shifts back to human and sags. “I am your Luna, your Alpha’s mate. If you ever talk to me like that again I will end you, pack member or not. Am I Understood?” My eyes were still blazing.
