“And they aren’t twins, so while they respect how much power we have, they don’t quite see us as real alphas without a luna.” “What’s that?” I asked. “What does… being an alpha mean?” “It means we lead the Blue Moon pack,” Matt said. “Well… specifically, Tony leads the pack, and I’m his right hand.” “A very unreliable right hand,” Tony groused. “A luna is supposed to represent our connection to the moon goddess.” “I thought you said she was dead.” “She is, but it’s still a tradition,” Tony said. “How can a goddess die?” I asked. “That doesn’t make any sense.”

They were aware that if the Council of the Gods found out about what had happened, it could lead to serious trouble. "This isn't right, not at all," murmured Alpha Aoron with frustration. "Indeed, brother. I cannot fathom how they allowed an inexperienced girl to assume the position of the lunar goddess," replied Alpha Zoran, sharing the same concern. Both alpha wolves wondered how it had been possible for Luana, a girl with no experience or understanding of divine laws, to be appointed as the goddess Luna. They feared that her lack of comprehension and control over her powers could have disastrous consequences.

The room went pin drop silent. The man who was holding the mysterious book, came in front and held the book in front of everyone to see. "This is the holy book which witnessed every Alpha marking his Luna. It has the blessing of the ancients and keeping them as the holy witness, I would request alpha Dominic to mark Athena, the red wolf, as the North region's Luna Lady." The man announced and after he read a few sentences in a low tone, the book started to glow and a bright light came from the opened window.

“Unfortunately, not this Alpha. If you go through the process without announcing your Luna, you may die.” I ground my teeth. That was extreme, my father never once mentioned any of these ridiculous rules. “How?” “Your Luna will be instrumental. She serves as an anchor to keep the powers of the Alpha checked during that process.” “Checked? You are speaking in parables, Xavier.” “When the process begins, the power that courses through the Alpha is said to be a quarter of the moon goddess herself and if there is no one to keep the Alpha grounded, the power itself can consume him.”

“Let me guess. Moon Witch?” Nyra snorted. “Luna Without a Pack.” Lunaria stared into the flames. She liked it. High above, the Moon watched. The older man with the white beard, speaking fervently, was taken aback when he heard this and straightened his back slightly but didn't dare to lift his head. "Your Highness?" "General Jason and Luna Mina, his daughter, are both good people. They shouldn't be attacked." Alpha Levi called the daughter of the War God? Luna... Mina? And... he even said they were good people? According to legend, the Alpha Levi, who once dominated the three packs, could lift a mountain with a wave of his hand. Who would have thought he would be straightforward in distinguishing right from wrong?
