Alpha She Wasn't The One Novels & Stories

' I calmly spoke, my voice laced with confusion. If it wasn't Athena who pulled at me, then who did? After a long pause, Athena finally spoke, her voice lower than earlier. 'Hmmm, it's fine dear. Something isn't right and it hasn't been right ever since we stepped foot into this palace and I'll get down to it, for now let's enjoy the rising of the sun with our "Fated mate." ' 'Alpha Asher isn't my friend though, he was just the alpha of the pack I grew up in and… well..'

The Alpha was my mate and somehow, he had no idea about it. What the fuck had the moon goddess done?

He met my gaze and flickered a bit of frustration in his expression. “Maya, what are you doing here?” “Beta Justin.” I moved closer. “Something is wrong.” The clanking of metals in his suit as the Alpha adjusted to face me drew my attention to him. “What is it?” “Sarah, Alpha Williams. I have a feeling she's not as she claimed. I saw her a few minutes ago whispering to a maid.” I could have sworn the Alpha rolled his eyes at me but I looked away before I could realize the full expression.

There was a brief silence between us until she spoke again. "How do you feel about the alpha being here?" "The Alpha? Do you mean Jack?" I questioned. Aisha shook her head, "Alpha Jullian." "What about him?" "He seems excited to see you," she said. "Well, he has a lovely way of showing it. Besides, I am not excited to see him," I replied. Aisha sighed, "I know you are mad at him for what he did, but do you think he did that on his own accord?"

She gave Alex a wink and a smirk and turned to grab Shane's hand, leading him back to the toilets. "Well, I understand you," Shane said, and they stop in mid-way and Ashly turns to look at him. "Really? You also got a bitchy Alpha who cheated on you." Shane laughed while shaking his head. "Wow, thanks to God, we are in America. You know what happens to omegas who call their alphas bitches?" Ashly shook her head. "Yes, I know". Shane smiles and takes a deep breath. "Well, I am beta, and yes, I have an Alpha who cheated on me, and I leave him when he crosses his line."

I asked her but her face seemed sour. She bowed and I could already feel my heart beating in fear. Her face already gave it away that she didn’t have good news for us and this was scaring the hell out of me. “He..he is fine, right?” I asked her again. “I am sorry, but unfortunately, the Alpha couldn’t make it. He has given up the ghost.” She said and the moment the words left her lips, my knees wobbled and I fell to the ground.

I step to her. She backs away. "It's not a trick! Not a trick! When I was there. I was there when they attacked..." I stopped. I stood blinking at the young girl trying to defend herself against my distrust. "Come with me. Talk to the Alpha. He'll tell you." My face twisted. "The Alpha is dead." She shook her head. "No, Wren. It's not the same Alpha, but he’s just as good." I stood for a minute. Trying to wrap my head around what she was saying.

The one that got away. The phone in the office rang. I was left alone in the Alpha’s office as usual. Alana took no interest in the paperwork. At least she wasn’t bad on the battlefield and was superb in bed. “Hello?” I answered the call. Only formal calls reached the landline. “Are you Alpha Chad?” I raised an eyebrow. Whoever spoke on the other end sounded as though he was using a voice changer. “Yes,” I said, not knowing what to expect. “I heard you want Maya.”

She cried endlessly in my arms as she let every guard down. As for the shapeshifter, it was my fault that she came to hurt my mate. I was so careless. I never tried to question her background but took it to my pants. Putting my pack in danger. How useless can I get? I don't understand what my father saw in me naming me the Alpha. Nelson could've been a better option.

I mocked. Her nostrils flared in anger. “I’m the Luna. I have the right to attend any event!” “I’m afraid Alpha Asher would disagree. There’s a reason he didn’t invite you.” “Where is Alpha Asher, anyway?” Beta Frank’s wife asked while eyeing me suspiciously. “Why are you the only one here? He’s not coming, is he?” “If he’s not, I’m leaving,” the female elder said. “He’ll be here in minute.” I assured them.
