Alphas Books Novels & Stories

And if I couldn’t protect him, then what the hell was I worth as Alpha, as his mate? I turned from the window and crossed the room to the far wall of shelves. The books lining it were thick, old volumes passed down through generations of Alphas, some with cracked spines, some newer, placed there for show. My hand slid along them until it stopped at the third shelf from the bottom. I pulled out a heavy black-bound ledger and pressed it into the slot behind it. A soft click answered, muffled, almost imperceptible to anyone else’s ear.

Hissing, I stand up to return the book when the guard calls my attention. “If you wish to read it, I can translate the language,” he says. Funny how even a guard is more educated than a lady from a prestigious household. What a foolish society. “I don’t wish to know the content.” I returned the book. “The content is very educational,” he says. Why is he keen on it? “What is it about?” I take out the book once again. I love something educational. “It’s a history of the past Alphas—the Apex—the knight's household.”

I answer and lightning another cigarette. " Would you mind start the party? I will be down in a bit" " Of course Alpha. I will tell them you have some pack business to finish and will be joining us soon" he snickers. My Beta is a good one, he no longer fears me and is a funny guy. He is young so he don't takes everything to serious but that's exactly why I like him. Nicos is the exact opposite of me, we complete each other perfectly and he know how to take out the heat of any situation while I or rather my wolf are good at making things worse.

I had never purchased any but always wanted to, I just never had anybody to wear it for until now. “I love you, my mate” The butterflies in my stomach were out of control after that. “I love you back.” I said before the line went dead. Two weeks later The first night of the Alpha meeting was finally here. It was a weekend long event. Friday night was usually casual and easy. All of the Alphas and their perspective pack members arrived at the hotel, checking into their rooms and getting settled in. There was a small gathering in the main conference room on the first night with an open bar for the Alphas, past Alphas and their Betas. The mates and other members that were in tow did not attend.

I head straight for the absolute weasel, Chemosh places a hand on my waist in support. “And who might you be?” I say, drawing his attention to me. His brown beady eyes drag up and down me with lust and interest. Taking the hand I offered, he places a kiss on it before smiling at me. “I am Alpha Findley, from Mystic creek pack” He tells me, offering me a dazzling smile. These fucking Alphas actually believe they are a gift from the Goddess herself. What he didn't realise was the minute he touched my skin and looked into my eyes he offered up his mind for me to watch like a sad little soap opera. I smile at him, but remove my hand.

A pack war was coming, and Mountaintop was right in the middle of it. End of book one. Story continues in Mated To The Alphas.

"Yes, and that's the fucking problem. It clearly says on the engraving that the owner is Alpha Lenox, the youngest of mad Alpha's triplets. Have you heard of them?" "I think I have heard something about the mad Alpha," I shrug. In school, we hear a lot about the different Alphas of all the shifters, but I've never paid attention to the ones who aren't cat shifters. I couldn't care less who they are or what they do.

I kept wondering what was so secretive about what he was trying to tell us. " I can help you look through the book of alphas ". He said with a mysterious smile. I was dazed at this moment, I didn't know there was a book that can tell you about the history of alphas. It got me more intrigued and just made me want to figure out more and more about it. " There's a book of alphas ?". Anna asked and he nodded in response. She looked surprised just as I was . This was definitely something that shouldn't be said out loud which was probably why he was trying to keep his voice down.

It says The Alpha King in the picture because I'm currently trying to get the book title switched to that! For anyone confused about why there are two different names. Happy New Year!!
