The area was deserted, the wind howling through the night and whipping my hair, sending chills down my spine. I scanned the altar. It was the sacred site for the Alpha Succession Ceremony, etched with dark runes that radiated a sinister aura. "You've lost your mind!" I struggled, but the chains suppressed not just my body—they sapped my strength as well. "Mind? No, I've never been this lucid," Liam said, raising a sacrificial dagger that pulsed with malevolent energy. Ancient runes were carved along its blade. "This is the legendary artifact, capable of forcibly stealing another's power. With your purest Luna blood, I will gain the strength to dominate the entire pack."

Not submissive. A weapon. But a controlled one. After a long pause, I slowly shifted back. The glow faded. My body settled into human form, my breathing even. Laurel leaned forward, her voice barely above a whisper. “She’s real.” “I told you,” Ryan said, stepping beside me and handing me his jacket. Alpha Regal finally stood, his tall frame casting a shadow across the table. “You have my attention, Elena of the Star Raiders.” I met his gaze. “Then hear our plea.”

Kent growled, and his breath moved my loose blonde hair. “Change back. Change back now!” I demanded. He was scary. Probably more than the wolf that attacked me. Thankfully, the fur dissipated back into skin and his wolfish features turned back to manly ones, as two of his four arms turned back into arms and he was standing upright again. Naked.

I couldn’t shift because I was stuck. Alpha Leonardo didn’t protest. He shifted into his human form, standing bare before everyone. The blood of the men he has killed dripped through his body. Raising his hands in surrender, “Now, let go of her, Vogar.” His eyes narrowed. Even in his human form, he still looked like a predator. “Funny how you trust me, Brother.” Vogar squeezed my neck hard. “She is not worthy of a man like you. She has to….” His body suddenly vibrated behind me as he groaned in pain.

A grey lycan emerged from the woods and Arthur growled his canines at him telling him to back off. The grey lycan immediately fell on all fours and showed him its neck as a sign of submission. However, the white lycan was having none of it. If he didn’t back off soon, he wouldn’t hesitate to kill it. He growled slowly once again. Lance realized that the lycan would attack him if he didn’t move back. And so it retreated before he shifted back to his human form. “Alpha, I mean no harm,” he said but the lycan growled at him. At least his eyes weren’t red yet,’ was what Lance muttered to himself.

She believes Lance needs something like a wake up so he could have sense and Alaric was the best to do that. "Rick, I can explain..." He began but took note to take another step backwards but Alaric was faster as he landed a punch successfully on Lance's face. The punch was very strong as Lance staggered before regaining his balance...Alaric was a Boxer so it wasn't surprising about the strength he had.

Valentino stepped back a little more, having linked some of his warriors who joined them as soon as Valentino realised that Delta Lucas wasn’t there to help him. Valentino ducked behind the first line of his warriors and gave the nod, one stepped forward right up in front of Delta Lucas, pulled back his arm and threw a hard punch, the warrior was surprised when Delta Lucas caught his fist in his hand and then growled low as he shifted into his Lycan form. As soon as Delta Lucas had shifted, he quickly turned the shocked warrior in front of him and sliced his claws through his throat and ripped off his head.

He was like a silver wind, blowing around and taking lives. His white hair, although in a tight ponytail, flew around, glowing like a white light. Lucian growled, his teeth bared, but he didn’t move. Alaric let out another weak laugh, then, with one final, painful groan, he shifted, his body contorting back into human form. He lay there, bloodied and broken, his chest heaving with labored breaths. But he was still alive.
