The rhythmic pounding echoed through the chamber, each knock reverberating with a sense of urgency. "Who is it?" I called out, I called out, my voice tinged with caution. The response came in a deep, authoritative voice that resonated with power. "It is I, Beta Simon. The Alpha has sent me." My eyes widened in surprise and relief. Beta Simon was not only a trusted member of our pack but also a close confidant of the Alpha. If anyone had the answers I sought, it would be him. Unlocking the latch, I swung the door open, revealing Beta Simon standing tall and resolute on the other side.

Scott snaps, squaring his shoulders, "You kept me from what's mine. You sure as hell should have known that this would be coming." Simon glances down at his feet and smiles slightly. Looking back up at Scott, he flashes him his claws. "Oh no, big bad Alpha." Simon teases, "Seems like you've bored me." In a flash, Simon slices his claws through Scott's neck. Blood squirts out of the wound, splashing me with blood. A gurgled scream leaves his lips before he falls to the ground. Simon cocks his head to the side, gazing over at me. Taking a step toward me, he snickers, "You know you always did look good in red."

Callum has strawberry blonde hair and has a fair skin tone, his face is more chiselled than Luke’s and he is the smallest of the four but he knows how to pack a punch. Finally there is Simon, he is a skinny guy who is just starting out to define his muscles, he has light brown hair and green eyes and his face is very soft. “Any problems today gents?” I ask as Brian shakes his head. “No sir, he has been quiet the whole day. I think his body is slowly shutting down.” I nod my head as I walk towards the vault doors, “Simon bring me a bottle of water and bread. Let's see if we can make him talk while dangling something he needs in front of him.”

I hovered at the bathroom doorway, watching Simon freeze in place. His face went from pale to ashen gray, his lips parting and pursing without making a single sound. The once unstoppable Alpha now seemed drained of every ounce of strength as he leaned against the doorframe just to stay upright. Connor's voice pulled him back to reality. "Alpha…" Simon staggered forward, one step after another, until he finally sank to his knees by the bathtub. He reached into the murky water, then drew out a fragment of white bone.

A tall figure stood in the doorway. The scent of cedarwood instantly surrounded me. Simon. He was wearing a simple white linen shirt and khaki pants, stripped of his Alpha King authority. He looked like an ordinary man on vacation. But his deep eyes could still see right through you. "How did you find me?" "An Alpha King has his methods," he said with a soft smile. "But mostly... you left a trail of moonpetals. I just followed them home." I stared at him, shocked. "What… what are you doing here?"

"I feel that he is horrible. There surely won't be any good things if he shows up here." Seeing that I was so vigilant, Simon said with a sad look on his face, "Miss Archer, I am so good to you. But you are guarding against me like this, which will make me sad." Today, Simon was wearing a suit that was similar to a basketball suit. And his slightly long hair had been tied up. He slowly walked to the sofa and sat down. He reached out to pick up a piece of sliced watermelon, took a bite of it, and asked, "Do you want to eat the watermelon?"

I send Trena back upstairs to wait. The smell down here is atrocious, and I don’t want Alpha Warren getting upset if he thinks that we saw our Luna submitting to him. When they’re done, they pass me on their way upstairs. “He’s all yours," Alpha Warren says. I smile, walking in to see Simon staring after our Luna. When his eyes meet mine, he snarls. “You! I thought you were dead.” “I’m not so easy to kill,” I say, smiling maliciously at him.

Simon slapped his palm against his forehead head softly and said, "That was so unrelated to what I said, but anyways good luck!" Simone had left. Simon had gotten up ready to go to his room. The dogs ran towards him at a crazy speed. They began jumping on him and he gave each of them a scratch and a back rub. The dogs were both golden retrievers. The names of the dogs were Smart and Brave as was displayed on their collars. The dogs had followed him to the little stairway at the entrance to the mansion. They turned back as if they had known exactly their boundaries and respected them.

A sharp scent hit his nose, it was faint, but he knew it very well. It was a wolf. Steve’s eyes widened, and his chest tightened. He stared at Simon. The scent was coming from him. “No…” Steve whispered. Simon looked up, eyes glowing faint gold. “Now you see.” Steve stepped back. “You are one of us?” Simon grinned. “My boss is surprise.” “You have been hiding this the whole time?” Steve asked, stunned. “I thought you were human.” “I was pretending,” Simon said calmly. “Just like others have done before. You were too busy being the proud Alpha to notice the wolf right under your nose.”

He stretched forward his hand for a handshake and I took it, "It's nice to finally meet you." "Same here Mr …?" "Simon. My name is Simon," he replied. "Ah yes. Mr Simon. Please have your seat," I offered with a wide smile on my face. "Thank you," he said and took his seat. Leaning forward, I asked, "So Mr. Simon, have you found anything about Ava? Is she hiding something about her relationship?" A knowing smile played on Mr Simon's lips as he replied, "Well, Mr Ethan, I did find some information on Ava, but it might not be what you were expecting."
