Barbara complained. Emma’s eyes widened in disbelief as a thought came to her. "Mom, Asher didn't pass the interview. Did Uncle Bronson arrange for someone to sabotage it?" She remembered that the kindergarten where she interviewed was the one her uncle had mentioned and claimed to have connections. "Nonsense!" said Barbara furiously. "How can you think of your uncle that way? He’s not that kind of person! I know you lack a conscience but don't assume everyone else is like you. "If you were a good person, you wouldn’t harbor such thoughts of other people!" Barbara continued her relentless accusations.

He smirked a bit before replying, “If that’s the case Detective Hadassah Alyssa Darby, you’re gonna have to catch me first. By the way, I said I live somewhere else, not at the old house. Let me give you a hint as to where you'll find me for more ‘questioning’ I’ll be at the old building” With that being said, he vanished and the wind that rushed in at his disappearance told her he was gone. “Shit!” She spat “If he’s so innocent, then why is he running” She thought about going to the cursed house but she suddenly remembered her dream. Someone or something is trying to keep her from going there, could it be Aamon? But why would he tell her where he was if he was trying to keep her away? Somet

For some reason, the undead couldn’t come in with them. There was an orange glow over the cave coming from a mysterious source. They kept walking deeper until they heard the chirps of several birds. Amaika immediately started running and as frustrated as he was, Marvis followed right behind. They finally reached where the birds were to find them all chained down to an altar which suspiciously looked like a sarcophagus. “They were…all alive?”

"Don't take it wrong. I wanna help you but please tell me the details of where you came from. We might help." Alyssa looked at Zane then sighed. "Okay we have been wondering on what happened that night. So if you say you can help us find answers then that's great. Where can I start.... okay let me just start from the begining. Our village was named Zimicah," she watched as the three men looked at each other with confusion. She continued on, "Surprised huh we were surprised as well. It is now that we have seen the land this far that I realise Zimicah was no where normal. All those gigantic trees with those multicoloured leaves, those giants birds everything about it doesn't make sense anymore

The bat was just about to lung from the tree at his victim when a nearby stone hit the branch it was standing on, startling it and scaring it away. Daniel blinked and shook his head as he came back to reality. “Okay” he said, surprised at his sudden change in location. “ What the hell just happened?” A few feet away from the tree previously occupied by the bat, a figure stood by. The figure wore a dark hood and dark jeans and watched as the bat flew away. “ No one gets the boy. Not while I am alive” the figure muttered darkly before leaving the area. …………………………………………………………………………… “And that is all on supernatural mythologies” The voice of the history lecturer, Mr akingbade concluded. “If ther

When Jane entered the shadows of the barn, the familiar smell of hay and warm livestock hit her, sending her back sixteen years. She closed her eyes and stood still, simply enjoying the nostalgia. She hadn't thought it was possible for her to miss any part of this life. She knew when she left on her Rumspringa that she wouldn't be back. Her parents had known it too. Her father had hugged her for a long time, while her mother had taken Lucy by the hand and firmly walked away from the daughter she'd never understood. Jane had left and moved to the city. She changed her surname in an effort to distance herself with anything Amish to one of her favourite characters, a woman detective named McKin

“How did . . . all this come about?” “After we left the club, Trevor brought me here to watch the fireworks. While he was getting the champagne, I started thinking about what you said about coming clean.” Courtney’s eyebrows rose. “I told him about my past – my real past; being Amish, Henry, almost everything.” “What do you mean almost everything?” “Well, when I got to the part about meeting William . . . I choked. I told Trevor that I met a Good Samaritan in the streets and he connected me to another temp agency that could use me.”

Their small group ended up playing past midnight, drinking beer, eating popcorn, and everything they could find in the fridge and the pantry. They had leftover Korean BBQ, side dishes, ramen, cookies, and chips. Beer and soda were almost depleted by the time they finished with their game. Clara hid the peach sake at the back of the fridge, but they still found it. Her brothers usually use this drink to get her to talk whenever she shuts them out, not that they needed it today, but they wanted to see what she’ll reveal.

So, he prepared to flee Avaluna Village, but suddenly a shocking news spread through the village. Mosha and all his men were dead, completely wiped out. Avaluna Village was in an uproar. Not a single piece of Mosha's wealth had been stolen, and the most puzzling part was that the police couldn't find the perpetrators to this day. There wasn't a shred of evidence to point to any suspects. But Amias didn't care about the strangeness of it all. He saw it as divine intervention, keeping him alive despite his supposedly peaceful life not lasting long. His peace was disturbed again, which was why he went to see Era.

I held the thin sheet in my hand and lifted my gaze toward Giselle's mother, who was still anxiously digging through her daughter's closet. In that moment, all the noise in the dorm seemed to vanish. All I could hear was the thud of my own heartbeat. So this… this was what they were really trying to run from. I raised the test report in my hand. "Um," I said. "I think… I might have just found out why they disappeared."
