The stench exceeds the smell of carrion that has been snatched up by the maggots. "What are they actually?" He whispered fearfully. He traced the lower body, the legs. The creature has legs similar to that of a duck. "Apparently, this creature is a kind of frog," guessed Ardina. Creatures that live in two realms, have a head like an octopus complete with tentacles, legs spread out at the toes with mucus like what frogs usually excrete when the animal is finished swimming.

, a round face girl with double lens glasses stood up at the front. "Yes, Nelia" the teacher replied. "Vertebrate are a subphylum of Vertebrata under phylum Chordata. Kingdom Animalia is divided into Vertebrates and invertebrates. Vertebrates are animals that have a backbone inside their body example are; fishes, amphibians, birds, mammals, and reptiles" she finished explaining and sat down. " Wow, that is amazing cutie. I love how you showed your clear understanding of Vertebrates, Good Job Nelia", the teacher praised.

It was a race against time. Zen could feel the monster’s urgency. He deliberately climbed slower. Escaping the monster was not part of his plan. It was a good thing the axolotl was simple-minded. If the monster charged at Zen at its full speed, it was unlikely for it to stop midway or change its direction. It had a flexible body. However, that only applies from side to side. Zen noticed it while running. The giant axolotl needed the help of its limbs and head to move up and down. Even so, the movement was limited as its head was directly connected to its spine without a huge neck movement range.

he asked “Those creatures, amphisbaena, they are just like snakes but with hands. They don’t have the ability to mind-link or what so ever but if my guess is correct, it must be traveling back to its master. If it reaches his master, then yes, they know I am here” she said with a sad smile, muting Zaden at once.

And on the other side of the island is the kingdom of the amphibians, the enemy that ghouls cannot overcome, and this is what keeps the balance on this island. Amphibious creatures are those which have the natural ability to survive either on land or in water for extended periods of time. Their external shape is like the human shape and their color tends to dark blue and they mostly eat fish. What makes this race strong is to drag opponents into the water and use the feature of breathing under water and leave the prey suffocating by not allowing it to get out of the water. The kingdom of the amphibians is built on an archipelago

“ Of course, the kraken is real. What are you talking about?” He raises his hand in mock surrender “ Well, I didn’t know that. But, since you’re telling me about it now, I’m all ears.” “ The kraken releases poisonous gas like most carnivorous trees, to kill insects that attack it. This gas, cyanide is released when the insects are about to feed. But, strangely, the kraken does not harm ants. It lets it feed on it and in return, the ants fight other insects that try to attack the tree. Isn’t that fascinating?”

"Observing nature doesn't mean terrorizing your sister with amphibians." "What's a ambi-ambi—what you said?" "Amphibian. It means frog. And you know exactly what it means because you looked it up in the dictionary last week." Luna appears in the doorway of my small home office, hands on hips, looking exactly like me when I'm annoyed. Dark curls escaping her braids, brown eyes flashing, chin tilted up in indignation. "Make him stop. The frog peed on my notebook." "Frogs don't pee, they secrete—"

I ask. “They are a type of salamander, aquatic animals that can spend time out of water, but prefer to live in the water.” As she speaks, I lift my hand and see that I have a white, blue, purple and tan axolotl in my hand. They have little protrusions on their head that stand out in the water, but lay against their head when they are out. “Those are external gills.” Anastasia says, gently running a finger over the axolotyls in her hand. She has a yellow one with black spots that keeps nipping at the others.

asked Amal. “Mostly avians, some mammals, and also some reptiles,” she replied. “One of my drones even found a moss-covered carnivorous rodent the size of a boar. Although I find it odd that they did not find a single amphibian. Are you certain this is where the swamptoads are?” Amal double-checked the coordinates that she had, then compared them to their geo-positional location. They were a near-match. “This is definitely the right region,” she said. “Unless they accidentally put a typo in their own contract. That’s always a possibility, you know?”
