Cryptid นิยาย & เรื่องราว

Diana was taken aback when she saw Astrid. She had no idea how the impostor found them, but she wasn't going to leave without a fight. The six creatures surrounding Astrid hissed viciously, their eerie yellow eyes glaring at the triplets. They were strange, something none of them had ever seen. They had the body of a lion and the tail of a scorpion, with rows and rows of razor sharp teeth. The stinger at the end of their tail dripped with dark liquid.

She looks ashamed. “Why is it hypocritical of you to judge me?” I look at her with my curiosity picked. “Let’s just say that I’m you in my pack, the one people love to gossip about for having something different, but with me, the reason people talk about me is my eyes. Purple eyes haven't been seen in over 147 years.” She explains to me. “Wow, you’re literally one of a kind. Well, let’s go find that book of yours.” I say standing up and grabbing Mrs. Linda’s note from her hand.

“How about Griga? What kind of dragon she is?” Rieska put her hand below her chin. “Griga is unique. She is the only crossbreed of the four.” “That’s pretty cool! I want one like Griga.” His eyes looked dreamy. If she gave him a dragon, he would use it to be stronger. The queen shook her head. “Sad to say, Griga is the only dragon of her kind.” “I see, then I’ll fly my own. Soon I will train to fly using my wings.”

Hadrian stopped beside a hollow tree with a hole in the middle and a raccoon came out. ‘There is our culprit.’ Hadrian said as the raccoon scurried back to the den, and they heard the familiar clang of the silverware inside. ‘The culprit is a raccoon?’ Albert asked dumbfounded and Hadrian was peeking inside and got a silver fork from the hole.

It wasn’t glossy either, it was darker than anything Sally had ever seen, and the light seemed to fall into it. Sally began to wonder if the Beast was what her former boyfriend, Malcolm, would have called an Alien Big Cat, or an ABC for short, one of the strange wildcats seen wandering the British countryside. Malcolm was a few years older than Sally and considered himself an expert in fringe studies—this included alternate history, conspiracy theory, and cryptozoology. He’d dropped out of university because he didn’t like “being told what to think,” and he wanted to devote himself to learning “the hidden truths behind modern history.”

Nevertheless, it was pretty much the only happy time he had. He looked through almost every item available on the website currently, only two getting his attention. One a black leather choker and the other one being a matte black hand harness which he would completely body. After placing his order, Young-Jae closed his laptop and got up from his apparently 'gaming' chair to go take a shower.

I eyed him oddly and told him certainly. He grinned slightly and changed right before my eyes into Jordan, then Brian. "I'm Sani Hatahle and Malia's my mate," he said with a raised hand. I shook it and told him it was nice to meet him. "There are a lot of us cryptids working undercover to take information to the leadership of our kind. They want to know what the humans are wanting with us," he added and I nodded with a smile.

Bastian shouts after flipping upside down to avoid my charge. "The egg is perfect and glows brightly." We're all laughing with their congratulations flying through my head when a burst of magic shakes us. Our merriment abruptly stops. "What was that, Mother?" Cantor asks. I know exactly what and who it is. After thousands of years my uncle has returned. His magic is dark and smothering. "Drakon," I shout, "and he's going after the egg!" I head toward my lair pumping my wings faster than I've ever pumped before.

I watch him examine it, prodding the clefts and archaic buttons, smoothing his thumb over the symbols I can’t interpret. I studied medicine. Modern medicine. Not midwifery or witch medicine like Princess Kenna. I didn’t study history or archeology like Misty. I know nothing about cryptology. But it’s Luke's specialty. “Where did you find this?” he asks, shocked. “Do you realize how old this is?” “What is it?” I grind out, already feeling impatient. “It’s a cryptex, obviously.” He murmurs a remark under his breath like I should know this already. “These are Talisenne symbols. This language predates the Firestone language by over a thousand years.”
