Chapter Three: The Unexpected Encounter Elizabeth sat on the edge of her bed, the events of the day replaying in her mind. The audacity of her actions—the proposal to a complete stranger—seemed surreal. She had acted on impulse, driven by a mix of desperation and a desire to escape the suffocating grip of her past. Now, as she sat alone in her room, the weight of her decision began to settle in. Her phone buzzed, breaking the silence. She glanced at the screen: an unknown number. Hesitant, she answered.

" If you follow me, I'll take you down there ." They all knew what "there'' was. Luke left Felicia with Liz and Randal. He and Randy shared a look; he was doing his best to be the strong one for his wife and everyone else. The younger Bailey walked down the hall toward the morgue. "Son, one day you'll be doing what we're doing." Sighed Pierce. "I hope not." He disagreed scrunching his eyebrows in disgust. With a roll of my eyes, I turned to one of the stores and that's where I saw the most beautiful hoodie ever. It was a three coloured hoodie.

I nod, closing my eyes to digest it all. Milo and I were never close growing up; in fact, if memory served me right, I made his life a living hell for the majority of it. But in recent years, things had changed. I started protecting Milo, started helping him out, indulged his pleas to play, and even got him a fucking bunny. And now Milo was saying he was on my side.
