THE ALPHA’S DEBT
Lanka Monroe
"You like looking at the wall or what, Andrew?" I ask, walking back into the warm room with a fresh bowl of wash water.
Andrew sits up in the big bed. He looks very cold, just like ice. He looks at me, then he closes his eyes big and tight. "I am just thinking about the old days, Lanka."
"What old days?" I ask, putting the wood bowl down on the table. "You look like you are seeing ghosts."
"I am thinking about how you always run around with Lucian when we are pups," Andrew says, his voice very low and rough. "You never call him by his rank. You two always fight and play in the snow like best friends."
