CHAPTER 3 It is evening already and I am preparing to go to the club like we have all planned , when a knock sounded on my door. "Come in." I called out as I applied my mascara gently onto my face. Gabriel entered into my room, one hand behind his back, a smile on his face. "I come bearing gifts." He grinned as he revealed what he was holding behind his back. I collected the black cloth from him but felt something familiar in it. I opened it and it was a set of knives. Three black knives with my name engraved on each handle ranging in sizes.

“No, you do not.” “What about me?” Natasha asked, breaking the tension. Delphine dragged her stare from my face and did the same perusal of Natasha’s body as she had with Jada and me. A quiet hum left her lips after a couple seconds. “That’s interesting. Yours is similar to Lilac’s, only it’s not grief that’s clouding your aura. Huh, I wonder what that is. It’s not black, but almost—almost grey? It’s like a mist or fog.” She leaned in, concentrating. “It keeps swirling. I can’t make out what’s underneath. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think it’s hiding—”

He stuttered with his last words. He tried to speak normal but his heart betrayed him. He didn't even notice how the man get close to him.
