The book was a comprehensive companion to the history of angels and their fall from grace. As I read, I learned about the great elysian rebellion led by Lucifer, the brightest and most important of the angels. It detailed the events that led to the fall, the creation of Hell, and the eternal struggle between good and evil. My heart contended as I came across passages that mentioned Lorcan, though not by name, but by description a important departed angel, second only to Lucifer, known for his strength and fidelity.
