Something inside me snaps before I can even control it. "I said get out!" I bark, my voice exploding in the quiet room. I shouldn’t have said that, but the consuming anger inside me has swallowed me whole. I don’t even think of my next words.

I could not watch another second. By the time I reached my office, the beast inside me was a raging mess.
