Poppy flowers are effective at calming nerves, just like you, who always provide me with inner peace.”

“No, you listen. You said I wasn’t some doll, some toy, yet everything about this is what you want. Not me. The haircut, no one asked what I would have wanted. The waxing? Poppy's POV As I gaze at the tomb of the guy I once adored, silent tears trickle down my cheeks. My mother is sniffling and my younger brother is sobbing. "I've already missed Dad," Sunny said as she rested her chin on my left shoulder. "Me, too, Sunny," I said, clutching her trembling hands. As she leans against me, she begins to cry. "Poor Becketts, they went bankrupt, and now the head of their family is dead," a gossip lady in the back said to a friend.

I agreed. “My kinda girl,” I said. She looked at me, surprised that I agreed. “I knew I liked you,” she smiled and I wrapped my arms around her as she leaned in for a hug. She wrapped her arms around me and I held her for a moment just taking in the moment. “How can we do that?” Poppie said sitting up and wiping away tears that had fallen down her cheeks. “Well, I found out that in order to hurt sadistic rich people, you have to know how to hurt them,”

Immediately she drops the dresses on a chair by the door and bows low to the ground. Confusion washes over me as he shakes his head and turns to walk out. “You can get up, Poppy,” he says as she lifts her head. “You know my name?” Poppy asks. “Yes, of course I know your name, Poppy. Everyone knows your name.” He opens the door to walk out. She says, “Thank you, Alpha King Maddox.” And the world starts to go black as I feel like I’m going to pass out. *** *Maddox*

Thinking of him makes me homesick. "Shit! I had the blow dryer on I didn't hear you come in!" Poppy emerges from her bedroom before jumping with fright at the sight of me leaning against the kitchen counter. She's dressed like an absolute goddess; her skin immaculately tEloised and flawless, make up perfect, dress short and legs long. She must have a date with Adan tonight.

I add. “Lance are you telling us that Everly is the missing daughter?” Kaden asks. I nod and show them the picture I took of the picture I saw. I can tell they are all shocked. I tell them that I am positive that Tianya and Kylynn sent the tapes. The timeline of when their music career took off and when they went on tour works perfectly. The room was silent since none of us knew what to say. I don’t think that we even thought Everly could be the missing daughter.

I replied. "She's only sayin' that cuz her video was her comin' out of the closet." Poppy joked, elbowing me in the side. "Wait, Aka… you're a-" "It's not like that!" I interrupted, not wanting that rumor to spread any more, "Poppy's just being weird." "Oh I see, well, Poppy, are you?" Urkstin responded, turning his attention to the much more confident Poppy. "Look man, all I'm sayin' is that girls can be pretty cool sometimes." She said, patting me on the back, "This young one doesn't understand that yet."

One in particular was Poppy, an eighteen year old Senior. She had chosen this of all days to dress for the gym, not the woods. She had on skin-tight bike shorts and one of those athletic tops we are all supposed to pretend isn't just a bra. Her outfit distinctly highlighted a figure, which while it had not fleshed out yet like Wendy's had, was well on its way.
