Anna pulled me down to sit beside her, across from Lya who offered a soft smile and wave. “So,” Anna started. “We’re taking bets on how long it takes Lya to chew Lucy’s head off. “I’m Niamh. This is Olivier—” Group giggle. “We’ve met Klara. Who else?” Curly-haired girl thrust out her hand. “I’m Sofie.” Her English was impeccable. She pointed to tall girl. “Astrid.” She pointed to short girl. “Mia.” Then to the last girl, who hadn’t raised her gaze from her feet. “And Anna.” To my immense amusement, Olivier gave them all a flourishing bow. “My ladies,” he said, his voice entirely serious. “It’s an honor to meet you.”

I carefully untangled myself from Oli, making sure not to wake her up, kissed her forehead and made my way to the restroom after making sure that Aaron was in his crib as well. Yesterday was hectic but the worst part was seeing Oli cry. After telling me how Anna let her wander off on her own, which this kid was obsessed with, she promised her that she would meet her in the clothing session. The kid made it back but with two weirdly shady men. I grew tense as to where this was going but as if Anna could sense it she told me they seemed nice and decent enough and that they stayed with her until Sam came.

Anne had to be crying; there was no way she didn't with her voice breaking like that. As much as she wanted to, Olivia didn't know what to say. If Noah and Enzo were in England, they couldn't find her in this pack, but the thought of Noah hurting Enzo was too much to take in. Memories about the joyful days she had spent next to those two rushed through her mind. Noah and Enzo were inseparable; why would they ever fight? No one had better chemistry than those two. While Olivia gazed in the distance, she didn't hear the silent commotion on the other side of the line until Anne sucked in a sharp breath and exclaimed, "Olivia, run!"
