11 ADRIAN My stomach lurched as I watched Anne sidle up to Annalisa, a sly smile playing on her lips. Annalisa, blissfully unaware, was engrossed in a conversation with Beatrice. A prickle of unease ran down my spine. There was something about Anne’s posture, the way she held the wine glass a little too close to her body, that set off my internal alarm bells.

In the next screen, an audio clip of Leila saying some kind of speech began to blare out. While on the third screen, another clip, Leilani's voice was saying a barrage of insults and I knew it was the clip that was played at her event.

Cole narrowed his eyes darkly. That was not Neil’s voice. His hand subconsciously clicked on the live stream. A barrage of floating messages rolled across the screen.
