The Lycan King's Breeder

The Lycan King's Breeder

My heart skipped, then hammered so hard, I feared I might have genuinely broken something inside of me. I was at the last boulder now, but I could barely hold back as the unease grew even stronger. Slowly, I pressed a trembling hand to my chest. My heart felt restless, straining, as though it were chasing after something I had misplaced. Something I couldn’t quite see. Yet the ache was becoming unbearable... So much so that I almost stumbled— “Scarlett,” Axel called, his eyes narrowing in panic. “Stay with me!” But I could barely breathe.

Renee.
GREAT BOOK! I loved this! Such a nice, simple read with enough plot twists to keep it interesting. Only critique is that chapter sucked! It felt rushed and I don’t agree with Talon still loving Willow, it didn’t fit with the character POVs!

This is a good read. Well rounded characters but I feel the author decided at some she had to make Willow a villain to justify the love between the King and the breeder. Emily’s character is very irritating.

Rebellious Hearts

Rebellious Hearts

How am I going to explain that Fallon Taylor still breathes? It’s not long before I will myself back to my feet. The drive back to my place should take less than ten minutes. Once I’m safe behind the golden locks and latches of my door, I can break down. I can lose all sense of sanity because of what I just did. Because of the trust I just broke. My door slams as I shove it closed behind me, hands in my hair again. The cozy space charges with the sounds of my huffing breaths and pacing feet. The anxiety knotting my intestines. Duncan will never forgive this. But beyond that, I’ll never forgive myself.

Hacked Hearts

Hacked Hearts

It wasn’t till I was safe inside did I hear his engines start and his car drive away, along with it went my hope. I leaned against the closed door, sighing to myself in the darkness of the room. How'd we learn to break our own hearts so terrified that someone else might?

A Game of Hearts

A Game of Hearts

When a gentle person got angry, it was the most terrifying thing. "She's been dealing with you for so many years. As a person, the one thing you should never betray is a sincere heart. I hope you two part ways peacefully. If I ever see you hit her again, I won't be so kind! And no matter how bad she is, a rotten person like you has no right to talk about her like that." Watching me in stunned silence, Jessica slowly rose and reached out to me. But just before her hand could touch mine, I stepped back.

Howling Hearts

Howling Hearts

Scarlet: Day 4 Today should’ve been the day of nerves and excitement and maybe even losing my v card. But instead it’s a day I feel more depressed since the night my heart was stolen by death itself. I wanted to hate Ash for causing this pain in me, but it was impossible. So I decided to make my way outside of my room for once. Just to stuff my face and hope it fills the hole that has taken the place of my heart.

Conflicted Hearts

Conflicted Hearts

I groan, my voice getting louder at each word. I can feel the weird looks I am getting from passers-by, but I don't care. I'm frustrated, broke, and angry. It's not a new feeling. It's been a constant for the past five years. But then my current frustration is Jody, my co-worker at Reach Media. Jody just got engaged, and why is that frustrating to me? It's because I am bitter. I am a bitter, bitter person. I have been engaged for five fucking years and I don't even have a ring to show for it.

Tangled With The Alpha King

Tangled With The Alpha King

It was obvious they couldn't see beyond what was standing there right in front of them but I couldn't blame them either, their failure to see was excusable. The beat that came from my chest pulsed to a different rhythm, before then it had been filled with the worries of the nightmares causing us those sleepless nights but now that she stopped and I was still feeling the same way I had been feeling. Anxiety. Fear – Every bit of emotion grinding through my heart that seemed rough and bruised. I lay my head on the pillow hoping to drown everything away, listening to my own sad heartbeat like a slow music playing, how melancholic it was, how in sync it was with my dark heart.
