It seemed as if hope were on my side I got out the foundation from the box, eyeliner, and nude lipstick. My stepmom and dad must have left the house already, I thought and ran out of my room to survey the house. As I approached the dining table, I saw a note from my stepmother on the table asking me to go grocery shopping. It read: "Go grocery shopping for unavailable items in the house. I'll deal with you if these items are not home by the time I get back from work".

I still needed the oven fixed. I called Sheka, just to hear a friendly voice. "What's up, girl?" She answered the phone all breathe. "Girl, I'm having one of those days. My oven at the bakery went out. I need to find somebody to fix it. Then the kids was acting crazy this morning. "Call the Mr. fix it guy that you and Kita met at the mall." She replied. I rolled my eyes. They had been trying to get me to call him for weeks. I was just not interested in anybody. I wish Kita hadn't told them about Micheal. Every conversation I had with one of these heifers, they somehow found a way to bring him up.
