“That was… everything.”
He knelt beside her, his brow furrowed. “You were… different today. Really different.” He pulled a small, empty foil packet from his pocket, a tiny, almost invisible tear in its corner. “I think I know why.” He held it up. “I found this in the break room, by the coffee machine. Someone left it.” His voice was low, thoughtful. “Aphrodisiac. They must have spiked the chocolate and coffee this morning.”
Mara’s eyes widened, a slow realization dawning. The frantic energy, the insatiable hunger, the complete abandonment of all inhibition… it clicked into place. She looked at the packet, then back at Roy, a blush creeping up her neck.
