Perfect. Nobody in this pack had that gut to go against our family. They knew that we were friends with Alpha family. I turned away, my stomach fluttering with excitement. The aphrodisiac I had mixed into the wine would be just what Hades needed to lose his control, to forget about Elysia, at least for a while. Once the effect took hold, I would be the only one left standing. I would show him who he belonged to. As I walked back through the room, I saw Hades, standing tall and confident, the way he always did. He was so breathtakingly perfect, like a dark god cast from the shadows.

Alanna couldn't stop herself from calling out his name. Hades turned around to look at her. Alanna got out of bed and went over to him, hooking her arms around his neck.
