Adolf pushes us further, trying to catch up with Akia quickly. Adolf growls, making the surrounding trees shake. We can see the river from where we are. I catch a blur of dark hair, and I’m sure that it’s Akia. I watch her fall on the ground, excited that she’s just made it easy for me. Adolf is about to run to her until he hears that voice. “Shhh, it’s okay, baby. It’s me. It’s Apollo.” My stomach flips as I realize that he was tipped off somehow. This isn’t how this was supposed to go.

When Rex stood up Apollo let out an excited squeal. “Hang on okay?” I said leaning forward making sure Apollo was pressed against my chest with my arms stretched out keeping him balanced as Rex started a slow jog, to Apollo this was every shred of happiness right in this moment. “Mommy! We are so tall!” Apollo giggled. Rex started picking up his pace but it wasn’t anything for me to be overly worried about. We made it to the little shop in no time. After drinking a few beers, he suddenly wanted to pee. Hence, he hurriedly went to the bathroom. After finishing his business, he ran into a woman who looked familiar. At first, he wasn't sure. But after confirming it, his eyes widened. He quickly approached Liam and stood in front of him panting. "What is it?" Liam asked with a frown. Apollo pointed at an angle. "I see her!" ***

But I could see a familiar look on his face, one I often found myself carrying, a look of longing. “Maybe I take back what I said. Just a little.” Oren huffed, and I couldn’t help but laugh at her. Apollo cleared his throat, standing up before turning to me. “Better get heading down this hill before the sun goes away. Not really into the idea of climbing down jagged rocks in the dark of the night. It makes finding a cavern easier when we know nothing sleeps there during the day too.” He said. I reached for my bag only to have Apollo swipe it out from my hand.

Tyler, the nephew who had handled the paperwork for our 'union,' only to lace my vitamins with suppressants so I wouldn't shift during the pregnancy. I stood by the window of the VTN ROOM, watching the mist roll off the Silverwood peaks. I needed to move. I needed to disappear again. "Papa?" I turned. Apollo was sitting up, his eyes glowing faintly in the dark. "Go back to sleep, pup," I whispered. "The cool man... the one by the fountain," Apollo murmured, his voice thick with sleep. "He smells like home, Papa. Like the big trees at the Ridge. Is he my big brother?"

After that we found ten more containers, overloaded with merchandise. Apollo lifted a black walkie to his mouth. "It's time for harvest," he spoke into the device, a devious smirk curving the corner of his mouth. The smell of sea salt and the metallic tang of blood burned my nostrils. This wasn't just a shipment; it was Aaron's lifeline. "He’s going to feel this," I whispered, my jaw clenching tightly. Apollo stepped up behind me, his chest feeling warm against my back. He didn't say a word, but his hand came up to rest on the nape of my neck. His thumb stroked the skin there in a way that reminded me I wasn't alone in this mess.

Someone said, "Apollo, where are you rushing off to? I'm waiting out here. Come with us to announce the good news!" The person grabbed him and pulled him toward Orion. "Orion was thoughtful and worried you might not know we were waiting, so he specifically instructed us to stay by your car." Apollo was devastated, and he even started to curse in his mind. As they approached, Orion saw Apollo's expression and thought he was overjoyed, so he patted his shoulder heartily.

Our chuckle everytime we will hunt wild animals for food. Our unending happiness. No! My unending happiness in his arms was fade away in just one night. I whined but the colour had drained from his face and I followed his gaze to a table in the corner where a bunch of men were sitting, growling at us. I knew that they were werewolves, like us. They smelt like werewolves. “What is going on?” I whispered to my brother. “Aurora, we need to leave,” he murmured to me. I frowned at him, confused and hungry. Alex clutched my hand and he led me out of the cafe and back to the jeep. I was practically running to catch him up. He stopped for a split second to fumble in his jacket pockets of the car keys.

She shook her head to erase the desire to fight the men. The sun has begun to set and if they don't leave the place yet, it will be hard for them to go back to the island. Apollo groaned before kicking the man's stomach. He fell to the ground but he stood immediately and managed to hit Apollo's leg using his sword. He hissed and although he could see an opportunity to kill the man, Apollo still didn't do it. Instead, he hit his head using the bottom of the sword that knocked the man out.
