She didn't speak up and kept walking towards me while Dillon was still sitting on my side, half asleep, trying to wake himself up by rubbing his eyes and yawning a few times. I felt a different energy coming from Ari as she walked silently towards me while looking downward. Her body suddenly grew as she transformed into a female passive form. Half of her hair turned black, and it grew longer. When she opened her eyes, they turned ash gray, the color of the goddess of the moonlight. I was so terrified and confused at the same time that I stepped back subconsciously until I lost my footing. I suddenly felt as if my throat was being strangled as she raised her hand towards me.

“Blair will never leave this pack.” “Really? Not even to make Abi happy? She’s bent over backwards for him for sixteen years. She’s sacrificed everything. Her education, her aspirations, her life as a human. And Blair’s a good man, he’ll want to repay the favour. I kicked off the designer shoes he’d bought for some gala I never wanted to go to. “Go on,” I challenged, my voice rising. “I’m sure you remember this dress. You bought this for me, too. There. Take it all.” I stood there, feeling exposed but more powerful than I had in years. I wasn't his Luna. I wasn't his wife. I was just Arabella. “I’m not your wife anymore,” I whispered, the realization finally hitting me. I looked down at my hand. The ring. The diamond was huge and heavy and felt like a shackle. I twisted it off, my skin raw from how hard I pulled. I threw it at his feet.

The person I had a bone to pick with was the girl without manners. “It’s fine,” I said “You can leave” He bowed his head and left. Arabella took a seat across from me. “That is one of the most awkward situations I have ever been in my life” she joked. I chuckled “Tell me about it” I took the time to admire her. She looked gorgeous in her black dress. I mean, she looks gorgeous in everything she wears but her beauty never fails to throw me off my feet every time. Her long hair is packed in a ponytail. I like it because this way, I get to see every inch of her face.

Shame filled her, but still her gaze returned to the male at the table. The man was beautiful he had dark hair, sculpted features, perfectly shaped lips that any woman would have killed for, yet on him they were sinfully masculine. He was beyond handsome. Arabella had met many handsome men in her life, but her body had never reacted like this. Moisture pooled between her thighs, dampening her panties. "Just Elara is fine" Elara smiled politely, taking the cutely organised tray from her hands.

Regina replied, “Thank you for coming on such short notice. I know your dates were full—” Arabella waved her hand. “Come on, you are my brother’s friend. I can do this for you. He never requests me for anything. As for other shows, today I had nothing planned, but I will be leaving for L.A. tomorrow evening. I have an important shoot. I should be there by now,but my brother came with a sudden request, and I could not say no.” Regina was shocked. “Abel asked you to help me?” Arabella laughed. “Of course! Aren’t you guys friends?”

“I think you’re angry enough to burn everything down. Including yourself.” I stepped closer. Close enough to see the faint shadow of sleeplessness under his eyes. Close enough to remember the exact weight of his body driving into mine. “You don’t get to decide what I do with my anger, Captain.” For a moment the careful mask slipped. Heat flared behind his eyes—recognition, possession, something darker. Then he locked it down again and nodded once, as if we had reached an agreement I never offered. “Get off the ice, Arabel. Before you tear the muscle you’re already protecting.”

"Madam Luna..." Before the servant could finish, Arabella cut them off coldly. "I haven't touched a single drop of alcohol. I am completely sober, I know exactly what I'm saying, and every single word of it is the absolute truth." Richard's face went pitch black, resembling a frozen abyss. "Arabella, have you lost your mind? If you're done throwing a tantrum, get out of my sight."
