Old crane grass here…” Bloodchild signaled to the general to go. He took out one of the vials and handed it to Anika. She took it and nodded. Setting her sights on Raven she launched forward and leapt through the air crashing the potion on top of her head. “Sleep hybrid. We don’t want you here.”

Mason says with a huge grin. "Guys! I... It's his dare! Not mine!" Aviana says, her voice rising a bit. "Why am I getting involved?" she asks, her voice shaking a bit. I can see the tears forming in her eyes. "Vi, we're just playing a game." Caroline says as she reaches for Aviana's hand. Aviana pulls away from her friend and she stands up on her own. "Aviana, are you alright?" Caroline asks as she stands up. Aviana looks at me as a single tear falls down her cheek. I stand up and Mason follows. I put a hand on Aviana's cheeks as I gently wipe her tears away.

“Can’t you call upon the power from the Heart of Magic to heal you?” Slate looked at the arrow like it was a pesky insect only there to annoy him. He grabbed the shaft of the arrow and pulled it straight out with a grunt, letting it go as even more blood gushed from the wound. Shaking his head, he said, “I cannot do that, Nya.” Her eyes widened as the last chance she could think of to save him began to slip from her fingers. “What do you mean? It contains all of the power in the universe! Surely, it can heal a wound from an arrow!”

Lysander pressed, his tone razor-sharp. "I cannot say for certain. But Vessa spoke of a 'main temple' as if this site were nothing more than a minor vein," Raven replied, her eyes dark with fatigue. "If an altar this small could be cracked by nothing more than a trickle of my blood, I shudder to think what could happen at the heart of their temple."

The girl stirred in her father’s arms and spoke weakly. “We need to go with them. There’s trouble… full moon… the veil… dead ones.” Theia mumbled and then became unconscious again. Her parents didn’t need more encouragement, they agreed to come with us. “Do you think you can teleport us all back?” I asked Gavrael. “I think so, I don’t think that power was affected or I wouldn’t have been able to bring us back from the volcano. It takes more out of me to do that than moving within this realm.” He replied.
