I was counting how many people were around without seeing them. I caught five distinct scents circling us, they were all Rogues. ‘Noah, you first. Aiden, you follow right after me.’ I mindlinked them, my voice calm despite the chaos brewing. The carriage door swung open, and I stepped out without hesitation. A blur of movement lunged at me, teeth bared, but I was faster. My hand shot out, clamping around the wolf’s throat. One swift twist and a sickening crack echoed through the clearing. It went limp instantly.

I questioned, my soul willing to hear a positive response. “Annatoria! Have you not been listening? You will get hurt during the rut. You are a human. Do you think this is one of the measly missions you love to fuck around with?” The veins in his neck were popping; his anger was undeniable. “The Lycan has been lenient towards you. Why don’t you take the chance to finish things by tomorrow? Why must you consider poking at the very thing that will destroy you?”

Lycans are the biggest and baddest shifters of the supernatural world, and we bow to no one. We have enemies, of course. Human hunters, armed with silver bullets in their guns and crossbows, hunt any supernatural creature that crosses their path; however, they rarely pursue lycans because of their immense size and incredible speed. Sometimes they will get lucky and find a rogue lycan, but they stay away from packs. Vampires learned long ago not to mess with us, as our bite is lethal to them. As for the werewolves...? Well, they’ve never been much of a threat to lycans.

Fury Dragons should not be trifled with as they are extremely dangerous and have been known to kill. My jaw is clenched tightly, and fear grips my mind. I slam the book shut and head upstairs. I knock on Lyza’s door and walk in as soon as she replies. “Are you a Fury Dragon?” I ask her and her face pales. She shifts uncomfortably on the edge of her bed. “Yes,” she mutters, throwing me a nervous glance. “Did you know about all that stuff?” I ask, as in my hand towards the hall. “What stuff?” Her eyebrows furrow in confusion.

It might seem impossible but Aiden and the whole Seven Pack would never respect me if I didn't make it. My wolf growled In anger. "I'm sorry Lina, we can do this." I said but it went wild in anger threatening to break the harem. "Don't do it please, I cried in fear." If she wolfs out forcefully, it might destroy her and I will be rendered powerless. "Then fucking do something!!" She snapped and I swallowed, taking shallow steps quietly to back off from the eyes of these wild hyenas and tigers…gosh!! They were so dangerous.

His words rang through my brain. " Storm, if a lycan runs mad, they can do unimaginable things. They can kill so many people in a span of hours. When most lycans are rejected which is very rare, they get killed by their pack before they can cause any danger." I shook my head, I didn't want to believe a word he was saying. "You're lying. It's not true." I stepped back from his hold. He sighed and ran his hand over his face.

Fraser brought up again, raising a high brow at me. When there was no reply from me, Dan, the quiet one, started. “Wolfants are dangerous. It may not be in the first generation, the second or third, but eventually, they will come into light as the monsters they are and cause calamities…” He paused, placing his palms on the table and notifying that it was all he would say. “… as they did before.” “And I completely agree,” Madeline, the older woman, picked it from there. “Katrina is dangerous and those pups are even more dangerous because of their Lycan blood.”

says Skye almost as if there is a hint of jealous behind her tone. “We cannot see the future and that has nothing to do with what I said,” I say rolling my eyes. “She is right though. I have never heard of anyone getting attacked by lycans, just rogues,” says Kyle. “That doesn’t mean that they are any less dangerous. Even the Alpha has ordered us to not associate with them even though I am not sure we would even know if we are associating with them or not since we don’t know anything about them,” says Xander.

Nina sneers. “They look scary…” Jaxon mumble ambling backwards. “You have trespassed our boundary.” I grit facing the two lycans. Lycans are mostly in the next town and never come in our Pack unless for official purposes. They growl at us, their fangs gnashing. Nina is already on the surface. I can feel her prawl within my cage. “We should run…”Jaxon suggested. “They are fully ready to attack us. We can't run.” I glance at Jaxon. He doesn't look confident but at least he looks better than a minute ago when he was already planning to flee. “You got extra clothes?”

Shelbrooke moved forward, his steps cautious. The rest of the team geared up, some of them suddenly shifting. Luana let out her claws and Lyne snarled at them, her strong sharp teeth revealed. "I must say I'm quite amassed by your bravery and confidence. I mean, you even managed to come into his den." Luana said, walking behind Shelbrooke, her eyes turning black. "Don't tell me you're thinking about lifting a finger because I won't hesitate to draw life out of you." Lyne threatened, gritting her teeth.
