Three silver-bladed knives, blessed by the Watchers and the elders of every tribe, rested there. Aria’s heart pounded—not with dread, but with the trembling awe of new beginnings. She pressed her palm to the blade, letting a single drop of blood fall onto the stone. Xander did the same, his hand steady, his eyes never leaving hers. Their daughter hesitated only a second before offering her palm, the blood a small, bright bead in the moonlight.

"Remain behind me." With a guttural roar, the beast charged, moving astonishingly quickly given its size. With his blade slamming into the creature's claws in a shower of sparks, Kael took the attack head-on. Lyra scurried back, trying to think of anything to do. "The artefact!" she exclaimed. He remembered her words and without any thought, he darted out of the roots of the tree. Alex watched in calm as Weaver opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted when the motion of a red blur shot out from underneath the slightly uprooted roots of a tree. Weaver was about to give chase but was stopped by Alex, who gently bit down on his tail. "Do not give chase." The beast roared but it was not affected by the stab at all. Blaise looked at its silver eyes. It was dull. It didn't exactly focused on Blaise. His eyebrows furrowed as he stared at its eyes. Dull, empty, and non-focusing silver eyes with no pupils. A blind beast, he thought. It moved towards him again. "Come on, Barbs!" he growled.

As soon as Blake was in my hands he stopped fussing and started babbling. "I was thinking we should have another baby so when Blake learns to rule you'll have someone to go out with." Alex smiled. I froze alittle before I was smiling to. I liked the idea. "Let's talk plans." Aries came from out of no where ruining the moment. I looked over and he had atlease 10 Gods with him that were the most ruthless and feared Gods of all times. They were preparing for war. I looked down at Blake who was staring into my eyes. His green eyes looked brighter than mine.
