Resurrection

Resurrection

Tanya placed the round disk with the etched knot at her feet. Jamie stepped forward. “I present to you, Fylfot. It represents continuity and feminine energy from Sunna.” The large wooden circle with the sun-wheel carved on it, was placed at Adara’s feet. Wendy stepped forward. “I present to you, Aegishjalmur, to strike fear into the hearts of your enemies.” Wendy placed the embroidered fabric depicting the Helm of Awe at her feet. Susan stepped forward. “I present to you, Svefnthorn, so that your enemies may sleep instead of planning your demise.” Susan smiled as she placed the metal bar with the sleep thorn etch on it at Adara’s feet.

Remember: Lost Love

Remember: Lost Love

She hadn't seen it before because the smoke altered her sight a little. Thalia gasped. The door was beautiful! It was crafted with exquisite artistry. Being an avid fan of fantasy novels, this door looked like something from the books she read. Thalia traced the door with her fingers. It felt cool to her touch. The door was an embodiment of artistic mastery, adorned with intricate carvings that depict scenes of mythical creatures, celestial bodies, and ethereal landscapes. Delicate filigree patterns intertwine with ancient symbols, and carvings Thalia didn't understand. Golden hinges, etched with even more delicate engravings, held the door firmly in place.

Revenge of Flame Luna

Revenge of Flame Luna

Rohan asked. I fixed him with a searching look. “Rohan, tell me again. What exactly did those travelling Sorcerers look like? I want every detail you can remember.” Before Rohan could open his mouth, Dorian stepped forward and interrupted. “No need to waste time on physical descriptions.” Reaching into his trouser pocket, Dorian pulled out a small object. He placed it on Caspian’s desk with a soft clink. An ancient silver ring engraved with strange symbols on its surface.

said Bowen. “Your magic artifact? This is so cool,” said Edmund with a chuckle, wearing it on the ring finger of his left hand. "Come on, let's continue our journey. We have to move a little faster," said Bowen. “I agree. Let’s move on,” said Edmund.

Geez, Sis. I cried. Why did Albus so cruel to separate Astrid and Draco? At first, I burst out laughing because I read that a dragon can drink beer, but after a while, my tears flowed without me realizing it. Well, It turns out that Astrid had fallen in love with the black dragon. Poor Astrid. Why?

INTO THE WILDERNESS: The Journey

INTO THE WILDERNESS: The Journey

Legolas whispered to Charlotte. In that long solemn hall, there were no hangings, no story webs, no woven material, no wood like the treehouses, but there was a hushed assembly of lofty pictures graven in cold stone between the pillars. Charlotte gazed along the avenue of long-dead rulers. A high throne under a canopy of marble shaped like a crowned helm was situated at the far end on a dais of many steps; behind it was engraved upon the wall and adorned with diamonds an image of a tree in flower.

The Alpha's Twisted Fate

The Alpha's Twisted Fate

I took him everywhere, to every historical landmark in the Pack, I showed him the library with ancient artifacts, ruins and books. Mason’s eyes are shining bright from excitement in seeing ancient texts and art works from hundreds of years ago, “This is… this is so great.” “If you marry me, they will be all yours.” Mason gives me an unimpressed smile, “Are you trying to buy me with this?” “Not exactly but if you like them I can give them to your family as a bride price. They are my family heirlooms.” He picks up a painting of a volcanic landscape, observing it with bright shining eyes, “Aragorn The First,” He reads the name of the owner of the piece out loud.

The Art of Redemption

The Art of Redemption

She returned my stare with a bright smile. "What did you make today?" I ask. "I made us a delicious quinoa salad with roasted vegetables and grilled chicken," she grinned, "and of course, there is a side of garlic bread because what is lunch without some carbs?" Mirabella Starling was more than just a friend; she was like a sister to me. She had been there for me since I was a struggling artist trying to make a name for myself in the art world. She believed in me and my talent, and she assisted me in developing as an artist and as a person. I was grateful for her unwavering encouragement and support, and I knew I could always count on her. She was a true friend, and I treasured her above all

THE ALTAR WE BURNED

THE ALTAR WE BURNED

The walls were painted with images from their journey—a woman kneeling beside a broken altar, a man carrying a candle through the dark, flames purging idols, and in the center: a couple bowing before a blazing altar, untouched by the fire. Tears filled her eyes. "This is our altar," Arthur whispered. "The one we built in secret. Now rebuilt in light." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box. Isabella gasped again. Inside was a delicate chain, a pendant shaped like two flames intertwined. "Not a ring yet," Arthur said softly. "But a symbol. That what we burn, God blesses." She threw her arms around him, and they stayed there a long time. No more hiding. No more shame. Just the w

Regret Selling Me on the Black Market Now?

Regret Selling Me on the Black Market Now?

The look in his eyes was focused and reverent, as though he was restoring a priceless work of art. "Madie, this pigment contains herbs from my research team to help your skin heal. Well? Do you like it?" Across my back, a phoenix traced in shimmering gold pigment spread its wings, looking utterly alive and magnificent. I silently admired that piece of art. Unlike the designs across my skin meant for the anthropodermic fan, this was something I'd chosen on my own. Elliott gently clasped a necklace around my neck. It was made of the finest pink diamonds.

The Enchanted Realm

The Enchanted Realm

Each image told a story of triumph and tribulation, of heroes who had risen against the darkness. As they ventured deeper, the air grew heavy with a sense of foreboding. Valen's expression was a mix of awe and caution, his gaze fixed on a pedestal that held a single, radiant gem the first artifact. Its brilliance seemed to pierce the very heart of the cavern, casting intricate patterns of light on the walls. Elysia reached out, her fingers brushing the cool surface of the gem. A surge of energy coursed through her, a connection to the realm's magic that left her momentarily breathless. The heroes exchanged glances, their shared purpose and the weight of their destiny palpable in the air.

Frequently Asked Questions

I still get a little giddy when I pull an old copy off the shelf and find Tolkien’s own scrawl and sketches in it. If you want editions that actually reproduce J.R.R. Tolkien’s artwork, start with the original 1937 George Allen & Unwin publication of 'The Hobbit' — that first UK printing included his dust‑jacket design and a selection of his line drawings and maps. After that, many later Allen & Unwin and HarperCollins trade editions have kept reproductions of his colour plates and black‑and‑white drawings, though the exact contents vary by printing.

If you’re aiming for a single place that gathers most of his images, get hold of 'The Annotated Hobbit' by Douglas A. Anderson and the catalogue 'J.R.R. Tolkien: Artist and Illustrator' by Wayne Hammond and Christina Scull — both reproduce a wide range of Tolkien’s watercolours, ink drawings and maps. Also be aware that modern “illustrated” editions often feature new artwork by Alan Lee or John Howe; those are gorgeous but not Tolkien’s. I usually check the publisher notes and the contents list to make sure the edition actually says it contains ‘drawings by J.R.R. Tolkien’ before I buy, especially when I’m hunting for a bargain copy to read in the park.
