Resurrection The Book Novels & Stories

Just let me rewrite this…Let me rewrite me. A single tear slipped from the corner of her eye. Then… nothing. No nurses rushing in. No family holding her hand. Just the sound of rain. And silence. ——— There was a bright flash of light. The first thing she noticed was the warmth. Followed by the feeling of soft sheets that might have just been under the sun, then drizzled with lavender scent. A quiet hum from outside…people? Elara's eyes flew open. She sat up, heart slamming against her ribs. Her hands were smooth. Her wrists unscarred and her hair long, thick, not hacked off during another "episode."

incinerated by the fact that the Human Spirit is Non-Digestible. We stood in the center of the "Sovereign Resurrection," our breath coming in short, ragged gasps of hot, copper-heavy air. The One-Hundred-and-Twenty-Fourth Layer was no longer a chamber of sorrow; it was a Void of Pure, Un-Written Potential, where every shadow was a new choice and every drop of blood was a new ocean.

Asher's disbelief echoed through our connection, but he promised to join me as soon as possible. When I arrived at the morgue, I was met with a scene that seemed too surreal to be true: Malachi standing beside Kaida, his eyes fixed intently on her, as if searching for something. Luke and the mortuary staff were equally awestruck, their whispers and murmurs filling the air. One of the ladies compared Kaida's resurrection to that of Lazarus, who had been dead for three days and was brought back to life by the Creator's will. The analogy seemed apt, but I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off.

he said, “Besides, you’re special. You’re the Lady. I have to make sure you get to the next body safely and resume the trial.” Suddenly, a thought passed in my mind. My eyebrows clinked together. “Wait… wait… You previously said that resurrecting a soul is a two-way street. What do you mean by that?” “Well,” he shrugged, “Just like when someone suddenly has his heart stop beating. Doctors and nurses flood to the scene to do resuscitation, right? That is one way. But for the soul to live again, it needs to do its part too. It’s not enough for the people in the living world to try to bring you back.”

Slowly I sat up feeling like a complete different person it was then that I noticed I'd been laying on top of a stone coffin. He put on top of someone grave? Strength moved through me, settling into my muscles and my bones. Lifting my hands, I notice no changes in them save for the fact that my skin has taken on a dewy sort of glow that's and my arms were exposed. Glancing down I was surprised to find that I was not wearing the white dress I was executed in.

"I tried telling myself it was all in my head, questioning the impossibility. But my heart believed my eyes, and I trusted my heart. In my search for the truth, I found Mason. He's... alive." Silence engulfed the room, a heavy pause pregnant with the enormity of the revelation. Pete and Blaire sat in disbelief, trying to process the resurrection of hope they had long buried. The air was charged with a mixture of shock, confusion, and an undercurrent of emotion that threatened to overwhelm them.

Willow I wake up tucked into my bed, with a small bouquet of white flowers by my side and a bower or silvery blooms overhead. A note on my bedside table in a slanted script has my name on top. I open it and read: Willow, I hope you have slept well. I left you some sweet blossoms to ease any sorrows and remind you of me. There is elixir for strength and recovery in the refrigerator and herbal tea next to your mug. The herbal tea is a human blend that tastes good and soothes the nerves, but isn’t magical. Call me if you need anything, anything at all. I hope to see you at the grand opening, but will understand if you want to stay away from the club.

Familiar. And something inside me shook. “But I feel you pulling me,” I admitted in a whisper. “Like gravity. Like fate. Like something I am supposed to choose again.” He looked like a man drowning in a breath of air. “Then stay with me,” he whispered. “Let me pull you back. Let” Lucien cut him off sharply. “Do not push her. You have no idea what she is now.” Elias stepped forward carefully. “Rory… listen to me. Resurrection through revenant rites is not normal. You may be”

Before she could think further, darkness swallowed her whole. A deafening roar filled Liesa’s ears. Her body burned and froze at the same time, the sensations tearing through her. She thrashed weakly, desperate, like someone drowning. When her hand found someone, she grabbed on instinct. Her fingers tightened with all the strength she could muster. No matter what, she refused to let go. When Liesa woke up, the first thing she saw was a white ceiling. Then came the familiar decor. She blinked slowly, confusion pulling at her. They were back at the estate.

Silence lingered between them. The rest of the flight was quiet as Kevin sat in another seat at the back busy signing documents and discussing business matters while Emma read a book and intermittently looked out the window watching the scenery below and sometimes stealing a glance back at him and caught him looking at her. After an hour, Kevin walked to her, checking on her as she drifted off to sleep. The leather-bound book she was reading lay open on her lap, the words written on its open page clearly visible; “If I know what love is, it is because of you!" Kevin smiled and then put the book aside. There was no lie in it.
