She had vanished as completely as morning mist. ‘MATE,’ Aeson projected, the word tinged with frustration and longing. ‘Where—‘ The thought cut short as something solid collided with my side—a white blur moving so fast I had no time to brace. The impact wasn't painful, but it was forceful enough to unbalance me, sending me stumbling sideways in surprise. Artemis landed lightly a few feet away, her posture playful, tail waving in clear delight at having successfully ambushed me. Her yellow-green eyes sparkled with mischief, her mouth open in what could only be described as a wolfish grin.

“Will you…show me?” What was I doing? Taking off my jacket so the force of my wings wouldn’t destroy it like they would my shirt. I held her gaze too. I shut my eyes and invoked that part of me to awaken. My skin felt like it was being ripped apart as the feathers and bones came out of me. Artemis got to her feet and rushed round the table, she stopped short when I collapsed to one knee. “Are you okay?” She exclaimed. I nodded. At least they were out. “I’m not used to drawing them so it’s more painful.”

"Maybe just one picture. But this is like my diary and I don't let just anyone look at it." The two girls huddled up next to Ariella on the couch, and waited expectantly as she chose a picture. Everyone knew Ariella liked to draw and write poetry in her art book, and though most of it was fantastical images of places and beings, it was still beautiful, the tiny bit she shared with her friends and family. "Oooh what is that?" Emerald pointed to a page. "That is something you never want to meet, especially in your nightmares." "It looks like a wolf, but with horns?" Savannah tilted her head sideways to inspect it from another angle.

I shrugged and shook my head, indicating for him to ignore it. “Hi Artemis, shall we get started?” I said uncomfortably. “Yes, my Goddess” he turned around and stood up straight a walked to a rug laid in the middle of the floor. He motioned me over and sat down on a pillow crossing his legs, I followed his lead, taking a place on a pillow opposite him. Between us sat a large silver bowl. I looked around the cabin again, noticing small statues of heavenly bodies and wooden wolf carvings. Some looked kind of old and tribal, others looked beautiful, almost regal.

“My word this is delicious. Thank you, Zosimos.” He bows his head, with a wide grin. “You are most welcome, Celine.” They talk, about their life here, his paintings and such. He offers to show her some, but Artemis says it might not be subject matter to show others. Celine flushes when she realises it’s probably nudes of Artemis, and coughs. “I’m sorry, I am of a very delicate disposition. But, if you have any landscapes, I would love to see one of those.” He grins and nods, he walks off into the house. “Was that an acceptable excuse?” Artemis nods, grinning

Somehow, Artemis looked even more stunning than before. Her midnight black fur was now speckled like the night sky, her eyes the brightest gold I've ever seen. The patch of fur on her head that looked like a crown seemed even more ethereal; it now had a strange silvery glow to it. Underneath the full moon on her chest now sat a delicate gold constellation. My constellation. Aries.

She bellowed back with glee in my mind. Artemis approached us circling and sniffing then he rubbed his body against my own "Let's go little wolf," He spoke to me in the mind link and then bolted into the trees. Following him was easy as I caught up quickly and passed him. We ran for miles until I picked up the scent of a nearby creek and changed direction to head to the creek. As I approached the running water I spotted a large swimming hole. Leaping off a nearby cliff I plunged into the cool water, when I came up for air a large splash hit me from Artemis's large body hitting the water next to me.

Suddenly, she reached her hand deep into the pocket of her fleece pajamas, fumbling within the lining for several seconds before extracting a carefully folded sheet of drawing paper. "Deliver this to Dominic on my behalf," Dorothea murmured, sliding the folded artifact directly into Avery’s palm, her small fingers executing a grounding rub against her mother's warm skin before she pulled away. Avery unfolded the paper. The tall silhouette depicted in the center remained a completely featureless entity. However, within this specific illustration, the character's spine had been configured with a pair of massive, absolute black wings. The dark wax crayon had been applied in several dense layers

In the end, I think they turned out great. Not that I knew what the others were for but there was also a frog on a log, a humming bird and a fat Cardinal. The very last one I was drawing was for Arlo. He got those picture for us, or more for me. It was of a wolf. It’s head was downward with his teeth showing. The hair was standing straight up with a human skull under it’s paw. There wasn’t any flesh on it, just the bones. Originally, I was going to make it a dead rabbit or something but this seemed appropriate. Keeping this one black and white, kept some of the mystery alive. “Charlotte??” Waylon yelled as he was coming in.

“Oh! You loved seeing me like this.” “Noooo.. I … I…” “No? Do you want to see me fully naked? I don’t mind removing the towel.” he said and slowly started removing it. “Oh. MY. GAAAWWDD. You’re mad. You have gone mad.” Caroline cried out loudly in frustration and quickly ran away from there while Artemis laughed loudly. He had already heard the footsteps of Caroline in his room, so he thought to play a trick with her before she left his room, and he must admit that he was satisfied with its result. He smiled, recalling Caroline’s reaction after seeing him half naked. . #TBC
