“I’m glad you said that.” Alec snapped his fingers and went into the closet. Coming back out, he had two massive pictures. Turning them around, they were my drawings from forever ago. One of was wolf’s head and the other was of a Bald Eagle. “These were huge favorite’s of mine from your sketch pad. I put them in a frame and would love to hang these.”

She glided over to my Harley to peck at my satchel with her beak; attempting to pull the top open. “That’s Ciara?” Artemis asks, pointing in the direction of the owl. “What is she doing?” I nod, “I think she wants clothes.” With a few careful slow steps towards my bag, I flip it open. Ciara grabs one of the oversized shirts in her beak and takes off towards the top of the closest tree. I chuckle, “Her and those damn trees.” I shake my head.

"Look at you in that dress. Legs for days. These old men are drooling." I laughed. "Shut up. You're the famous painter now. I saw your exhibit downtown last month. Insane." She waved it off but smiled. "Thanks babe. It's going okay. Clients are a nightmare though." We found a spot by the pool, away from the crowd a little. She launched into stories right away. "This one guy," Artemis said, sipping her drink. "He wants a portrait of his ugly dog. Fine. Pays big. But then he says make the dog look noble. Like royalty. I'm like sir, your dog looks like a rat with asthma."

" Are you feeling good down there?" " I am," I peeked at my drawing. Inspecting the somehow horrifying image. Okay! To get this straight...I drew something which almost seemed to look like an eagle...it had wings so long that it occupied the entire space of the paper. The wings had symbols that I saw as designs. I made its eyes wide like that of an owl but its peak was like that of a raven. It was flying, and behind it, I drew a small moon at the corner of the paper, beneath the eagle's feet was a trace of reflecting water.

(My God, forgive me) Artemis smiled sweetly and slowly descended, twirling through the air beneath the starry sky of the amphitheater. Her cold breath shimmered in the air like frost. Her bronze armor made no sound. It was perfectly engineered. With her dark skin, cascading curls, and gleaming archer’s bow, she could have been beautiful, voluptuous, and divine. If it wasn’t for the fact that she was a crazy demon bitch trying to chop us into pieces. The small marble goat, lion, and dragon desperately clinging to her body yelped. They held on for their lives, trying not to fall and be crushed against the jagged ice or disappear into the dark water below.

“Vampires and Dragonkin don’t usually mingle, but yes I have some in stock.” “We’re special like that.” Milo grinned and chose a seat near the bed where I’d sat down. “What kind of art do you want?” He didn’t make any introductions so I didn’t feel the need to introduce us either. I pulled a sheet from my jacket pocket and handed it to him. I’d already designed it myself but if he was as good as I thought he was then he’d redraw it. “It’s in cuneiform, two names and a black baccara rose with thorns on the stem.”

“They’re beautiful. Imagine the stories they could tell if they could talk.” Arthur said, "I bet they wouldn’t tell as good a story as Gina Gentlehammer.” I laughed. Mia laugh-snorted. “Daddy, you’re being silly. I didn’t know you could be silly.” “I can be silly,” Arthur said, but something grabbed his attention, and he was distracted. “Let’s go in.” Arthur had found a small painting, barely bigger than my palm. It was a mother and daughter looking at a mama and baby swan. “I’ll take it,” Arthur told the gallery clerk in Italian. He looked at me and then at Mia. “So we can remember this trip.”

He had encountered several beasts along the way but he managed to survive. The cheers of the audiences around the arena grew louder as Arth entered. The center stage had the perfect form of a hexagon, elevated a few feet above the ground. Several blue banners surrounded the stage, depicting two eyes of an owl, which was the underlying symbol of Casterfall City. Arth walked slower out of his exhausted body. If only he could skip the evaluation and head back in the lounge to take a rest—no second thoughts he would. However, a bit of excitement lingered in his fast-beating heart. He remembered what he came here for—to win.

We happily greeted him, trying our best not to hiccup from all the shots we had done. Finally, Jean pulled away from the designs, admiring each one. Adelia's semi-colon butterfly was intricately done, the edges of the wing slightly frayed. Teagan's Medus was large and imposing, as she wanted it on her thigh. Jean kept quiet about the meaning of it but you could see the pity in his eyes when he looked at Teagan.

And so, it wasn’t very astounding that she tentatively pulled up the latch. “Oh.” She tried to think of anything else she could add to that as she stared down at the little white rabbit, with huge adorable eyes busily nibbling on a bunch of carrots. “You do not like it,” The esteemed general observed albeit with a little disappointment. He had noticed her looks of boredom, and he had done everything possible to keep her entertained, but the thing was that Artemis was a hard nut to crack. He wanted so badly to make her happy in his company so she wouldn’t leave, but it didn’t look like luck was on his side in that regard.
