Novel & Cerita Ascending To The Throne

The word slave burned me and my hands pressed flat to the table. “He is not...” I cut myself off before I betray myself more. Malrik’s silence was sharper than any blade. “This is about the curse.” I exhaled. “The Abyssal Throne,” Father said, voice rough with age and fury. “Every king bound to it was forced to pay the same price. To ascend, his mate must be noble-born. Without it, the kingdom decays.” The flames hissed in the hearth. “And if one not noble-born is claimed?” I asked, though my I already knew the answer.

I fastened the heavy silver family crest collars around their necks, the cold metal clicking shut with finality. "Tonight," I said, circling them slowly, "we complete the Blood Throne Ascension Ritual. Your bloodlines, mine, Lydia's, and the fruit of our union in Raven will merge completely under my rule. You will prove who loves me more. The winner earns the honor of sitting at my right hand as we expand the empire. The loser... well, both of you will break beautifully regardless." Lydia's eyes shone with submissive hunger. "Yes, my brother... my King. I live for this."

“The truth about Esteban is an opportunity for you to ascend the throne as the eldest child and rightful heir.” “Is that what they told you? The people who brought you back?” I raised my eyebrows and her face scrunched in confusion. “I'm sure you already know that I'm an illegitimate child of the King. Due to that reason, I can't ascend the throne after my father. If it was possible, he would have made me the crown prince when he found me.” “He didn't tell me that,” she mumbled to herself as she looked everywhere else but me.

Then I stood up. “I call upon Radenor as my witness! I am ready to deliver the throne to the rightful king and the lawful heir of my uncle! Chancellor, could you place the child on the throne of his ancestors?” Chartreuse winced in such a pronounced manner that everyone could see it, but I got him there. Abigail carefully handed him the baby, and the chancellor walked toward the throne. Meanwhile, I prudently stepped behind the priest and crossed my arms behind my back. I have nothing to do with anything, really.

Alex was the first to stand up from the seat. "We are here," Alex answered. "You can come inside now; your attention is needed." Vivian said. "Okay." They walked towards the house. "Have your seat." The old man pointed at the vacant double-seater sofa. He cleared his throat after they had seated and said, "I know you have been anxious to know the outcome I had with the chiefs. The thing we discussed is that after you've defeated the king, the next step for you is to ascend the throne. The throne can't be vacant for long, so that things can become orderly and tranquil like they were meant to be."

As I gazed upon their triumphant faces, I knew that this was only the beginning of our epic journey. Dynaris stepped forward, her eyes shining with a sense of pride and purpose. She approached the throne, now transformed from a dark and foreboding seat of power to a radiant, golden symbol of hope and renewal. With a gentle reverence, she reached out and touched the throne's armrest, feeling the warmth and energy emanating from it.

“I can’t just leave and let you sacrifice yourself for us, Mother. Demitri will never forgive me if I do that.” “He will not forgive me too if anything will happen to you and your child. And I will also never forgive myself if that happens. You are already a daughter to me, Ophelia, and the child you are bearing is my first grandchild, the heir to the throne. If someone is to be sacrificed, it should be me and not either of you.” “What a dramatic scene this is,” Ren suddenly butt in. I threw a ball of fire to him but he dodged and smirked at me.

“Thank you, Beta Laurel, for granting us this visit. Thank you, also for honoring us with your backing of my son’s ascension. It will be a great joy for me to hand over the baton to him knowing that he has the support of the Morningstar Pack.” He bows to me, as does Caleb who has come to stand next to his father. It is customary for an Alpha of a weaker pack to gain support and approval from stronger packs before their heir can ascend the throne. This political move ensures that the next Alpha will not be attacked by other power-hungry packs when the current Alpha steps down from power.

He was marquis Theodor one of the neutrals. "I was raised to rule this country, Lord Theodor. From the moment I opened my eyes for the first time, there was one role that I was supposed to do, and that was to learn how to become queen. I am not worried about my ability to take on that role, in fact, It would be an insult to his majesty who had been teaching me for so long to say that I can take it on. Of course, I still have much to learn but I am confident in my abilities. All that I am saying is that I am confident about my cousin's abilities too, and I have faith in his concern for the good of our country. which is why I think that this battle is meaningless,"

I slowly walked towards the head of the table while the Councilors bowed, but instead of climbing the short stairs that led to the Alpha King's throne, I stopped and turned towards a nearby servant. “Get a chair for me,” I ordered. “Not necessary something fancy. Just any regular chair would suffice.” “But.. but your highness…” I held up a hand to silence the Councilor who was about to speak up. “I know what you'd like to say, Councilor Vance,” I said. “The moon goddess had already chosen me as her Alpha King, but it is only proper that I wait until the ritual to ascend the throne, as it is the Culture of our people.”
