Alastair's POV I stared at the report on my desk, my jaw clenched so tight it ached. Hayes stood across from me, talking rapidly. "The assassin's name was Kairo Venn. He's a low-level mercenary, known for taking jobs others wouldn't touch.” His eyes flickered to me uncertainly before adding. “He's been linked to several deaths over the past five years, but nothing we could prove in court." "And who hired him?" I asked, though I already knew the answer.

"And he kept calling me little girlie." Evil Eyes is in the passenger seat examining where I stabbed him to death. He looks at me with respect in those disturbing eyes. "Little girlie, huh? Looks like the joke is on him." Alessandro takes my hand and gently removes the knife. "You just killed Ivan Popov, the deadliest assassin in the Russian mafia."

Alessandro walked towards the torture bunker while waiting for his enforcer, Romero. He knew the man would be back very soon and the thought that he was coming with a Russian spy made his skin crawl with excitement, he had no idea how she managed to get to Romero but the game has just begun. if they thought he was capo for being this stupid then they need to think again, this man wasn’t someone they could mess with.
